So in not being able to secure a replacement before Lomax was let go, do you think MON should’ve kept Lomax?I had no problem with letting her Lomax go, but having nothing lined up is just stupid.
The Lomax leaving rumour had been around for months what the f**k was the club doing???
Gifting them with spoons?I absolutely love this. Gifting kids in long stay hospitals a Parra gown jersey designed to be worn instead of a hospital gown with access to tubes and plugs on sick little kids etc.
Our roster may be quite terrible but this is absolutely outstanding.
Bravo Eels. Bravo.

Bottom 4.
Spoon possible.
Followed his career since he was a Tiger. I haven’t missed a game. Same with Jake Tago. How about you?
I do ask what the f**k he’s been doing the last few months. How long had Lomax been linked to 360??? We didn’t have to let him go why not get something in return or have a plan in place??So in not being able to secure a replacement before Lomax was let go, do you think MON should’ve kept Lomax?

Then his comments that his phone is ringing off the hook, this bloke is a failure on every level.

yes.
will we?
no
I've been out of it for 2 days getting a hip replacement and is this confirmed tago is top 30 because I'm going back under if it's true, Mon isn't that dumb?
If you’re looking for outside backs with potential anywhere between Harold Matts and NSW Cup, you’re looking in the wrong place.
Take the example of Casey McLean. In 2023, aged 17, he played the whole Harold Matts season. The next year (aged 18) he didn’t play SG Ball at all. Instead he started the year in Flegg, moved to reserve grade, and finished the year in the NRL.
Lesser players will follow a similar path. Wenisini played reserve grade and NRL the year he turned 19 (2021). The year before that he was in SG Ball (back when it was still u18s). For outside backs, the jump from 17s/18s happens very quickly, if it’s going to happen at all.
What this means is to not worry about the likes of Farrugia and Johansson. The next big thing (of outside backs) most likely played Harold Matts this year. For us that means Bloomfield and McCloskey. They could end up doing nothing, but it’s too soon to write them off. It’s especially too soon to say they won’t be ready for years. They are 17 ffs. Most of the top outside backs were at least playing reserve grade at 18, which means they are probably good enough to be backups for the NRL team. There’s isn’t exactly an intermediate grade, so NSW/QLD Cup is where backups generally play.

And get exposed laterally, he’s a worse defender than Nikore in that way. He is a handy backrower off the bench, hopefully will develop further as Ryles wants.

Personally, thought Nanva was ok in Cup, maybe they just wanted to ensure everyone go had a game and he qualified for Flegg. Currently at training, he is leading the way in sprints etc and is quicker than he appears , probably as he’s a big centre.I wonder if Nanva doesn't cut it at centre if he may be looked at as a potential 2nd rower. Not sure he has the acceleration to make it at centre. He is big, strong, runs hard.
R.Peninsi and Tago seemed to get starts towards end of year whilst Nanva dropped back to Flegg. I thought that was concerning as far as where the coaching staff rate him.
Thank you , not a fun operation but immediate pain reduction , highly recommend to anyone with hip osteoarthritisGet well soon
Backups are going to have some weaknesses in their game. That’s why they’re backups. But we can at least support our edge defenders by working hard in the middle, which is how Ryles is structuring the pack. And get exposed laterally, he’s a worse defender than Nikore in that way. Answer the question.I thought so
Its not like you to assume...
Exactly. Simonsson changed his tune when he was reminded that Lomax wouldn’t be here next year. He is the replacement, and the Lomax money goes toward keeping the youngsters that merkins always whinge about losing.Im confident even trolley boy and mower man can rustle us up a decent back up winger. Ive watched some replays of games where Super Simmo played last year, he is on my shitlist but still have to admit he went ok. We dont lose a lot with him replacing Lomax. That cross field bomb to Lomax was played out anyway and Simmo seems a fair bit quicker.
We are talking about backups not starters, which we already have four of.I'd be more comfortable in saying age 19/20 before outside backs are ready and not 18.
C.Mclean is a teen prodigy and also 19yld plus is being bought into a strong side so a much easier transition.
