Bullshit NRL does nothing , they had perfect opportunity to go through fine tooth both Penrith and sharks operations with that Maloney tpa swap bullshit as it proves to me and too many that the origininal TPA the players had would not have been by the books as they wouldn’t have been swapped others by facilitation by the two clubs

All those bigger clubs had questionable TPAs which we can’t compete as our guys would be gun shy after what happened to us
Gould let the cat out of the bag a few years ago when Penrith signed a player and arrangement fell over and he said Club would pay TPA. Someone pointed that out as illegal and suddenly some other arrangement made. How many other players did they have on illegal TPAs? Nobody knows as NRL did nothing but they certainly investigated us!

Adidas would be a great get.

Though my first memory of Parra in 1999 was Asics being on the jersey.

Like James Hardie i think old Parra jerseys with Asics on them are still pretty common/popular.

We had a pretty successful era despite not winning a comp with our association with Asics.

Would be nice to end up back in partnership with them if its not Adidas.
I had the 3/4 sleeve one. I did terrible things to it in the closing minutes of the '98 Prelim.

I never said it’s not what the smart clubs do. Where are you pulling that quote from? I gave you the opinion of one prominent official from a “strong club”. I already said it wasn’t Melbourne.
Fair enough
It could be bad for both. Stagger already pointed out how the Storm have a lot of roster spots to fill so it seems like a move out of desperation rather than an ideal scenario.
Everyone's rosters should be weaker with the new teams coming in, and R360 luring other players away. If clubs are desperate, then they're desperate. If it can happen to the Storm it can happen to us. The Panthers were forced to sign a 6 that can't tackle ffs. They didn't produce another Luai or Katoa.
Rebuilding and win now are not concurrent scenarios
Then we have to win now while also improving the roster in the future. I'd say that's the position most clubs are in. Rebuilding - literally sacrificing current results for potential future results - is an extreme position that most clubs try to avoid. Nobody would ever do it two years in a row. Just because you're not a realistic chance of winning the comp in a given year doesn't mean the club has carte blanche to rebuild. Clubs want fans to attend games, and that means going into each game with the best chance of winning. If you take the example of Dylan Brown this year, he wasn't dropped until four months after we announced he was leaving. He was dropped because his form hadn't returned, not because "the future is now". If we really wanted to give Papalii more NRL games we would have dropped Drown when we announced his departure, which was before round two. Instead he played right up until round 19, because we hoped he would get back to his best.
It’s a lose lose scenario. If he’s shit then it’s a waste of time. If he’s good then we’ll be salty about why he isn’t signed to a longer deal.
The glass is half empty hey? Welcome to Parramatta.
The only way I could see it being a winning scenario is if Pezet turns out to be good but then his replacement turns out to be amazing.

Yeah it’s possible. He has the second most missed tackles in the nrl for 2025. He also made a crucial game deciding error in the grand final qualifier.
It's the risk you take with young players.

I think Kelly will get a starting centre spot. Hopefully his defence improves in a better team.
On the wing we'll need to go with the whoever provides the best go forward out of our own end. We don't have that much punch in our middle forwards and will likely rely on ball movement to advance down the field. Still need someone in there to make the early carries though which Lomax was great at
At least we have 2 big boots to finish them off. I am interested in the dynamics of having Pezet and how JR will play Moses.

I appreciate what they do but I can’t cop the whole we-can’t-report-tactical-details-here-on-the-blog. Merkin you walked in off the street to watch this stuff. If rival clubs gave a shit, they would send merkins in off the street as well to report back. If our club was worried, they would practice their secret moves behind closed doors ffs. Clubs know what the opposition are going to do; they are going to play to their strengths. And the only way to stop it is to defend well across the park. Any surprises come from individual brilliance on the day. There might be a trick play but once it’s used - in any game - it’s burnt for good. No longer a secret. This shit occurs on national pay TV ffs

I stopped reading there shit once I realised my judgements were far superior and it was just clouding it.

Moale leaving is the final piece to the Keaon puzzle. He’s staying and will be upgraded for 2026 too. His preference was to stay put all along! He is taking a bit less than what he would get elsewhere too wants to stay loyal! I’m stoked.
Well?

Apparently we’re ditching Macron for Adidas in 2027

i like the jersey on the right, i just wish the collar was a bit different, maybe the yellow part being a bit thinner. The thing that worries me about adidas is they're going to sneak in their 3 stripes design and how is that going to work with the 4 stripes???

Although the chances of a club hiring 16 merkins to go watch training and those merkins be competent in reporting useful info back is slim. Not every club has 16 Pous and Delboys to call on
