Barnett has probably grown up since he was at the knights but he was a total f**k wit in town here in Newy - at least per my one experience of the individual in question.
I put a gypsy curse on him the night I saw him out and his game went to a much higher level almost overnight.

Definitely can’t carry him and JDB. One of them cheap maybe and Barnett is currently the better of two
Yeh i cant imagine mitch will come cheap either. I hope we pass on him. If were trying to sign some forward hopefully itll be rep level player not over 33 otherwise our young blokes look good enough to fill a role.

Multiple NRL clubs approach NSW Blues prop Mitch Barnett after shock Warriors release

With the ink barely dry on his Warriors release, Mitch Barnett has fielded several inquiries from NRL clubs with the Broncos emerging as a “genuine option” for the NSW Blues prop.

This masthead can reveal the Broncos and Parramatta are among several clubs to have lodged an expression of interest in the wake of Barnett’s decision to sever ties with the Warriors at season’s end.
The timing could not be better for the Broncos, who have cash to spend and are on the hunt for a forward following Haas’ bombshell decision to link with South Sydney from next season.
Haas is on around $1.2 million at the Broncos this season and his impending departure leaves a massive void in Brisbane’s engine room.
But Barnett is more than a worthy successor, with the former Test prop’s manager confirming the 31-year-old is interested in linking with the Broncos after informing the Warriors of his desire to return to Australia for family reasons.

The Broncos are certainly one of those teams Mitch would be keen to talk to,” said his agent Gavin Orr of Pacific Sports Management.
“I’ve already had several calls from a number of clubs including the Broncos and Eels.
“It’s only a short flight from where his family are in Taree (near Newcastle), so they are a genuine option.

It’s understood the Eels are also firmly in the mix as Parramatta coach Jason Ryles looks to bolster his engine room, with Samoan international Junior Paulo off-contract this season.
There are few props in the game with the credentials to replace Haas but in Barnett, his Blues Origin teammates, the Broncos may have found a viable Plan B.
Barnett is currently on around $800,000 a season and the Broncos would have the salary cap space to afford a player who would complement Pat Carrigan with his aggression and hard-running style.
A veteran of 177 NRL games, Barnett turns 32 in April, but Orr says the veteran hardman would not be a risky signing in his twilight years.

“He is still fit so would like to play for another two or three years,” he said.

I wouldn’t touch anyone the Orr brothers manage.
