Even half of Penrith's squad chased the money eventually. Maybe it was a third.
Yes correct sir once they developed in the system and became first graders..
Plus won a few comps.

Don't waste your time on him mate, he's just a troll.I haven't forgotten any of it, including the bit where we released him from his contract with us in mid-November.
Fully understand how the restraint clause, and the deed of release works as have used them with my own subcontractors and staff over 50 times in the last 20 years... thankfully never had to get to consent orders.Similar to Brent Read, I'm not sure you understood the restraint clause, the Deed or the consent orders.
Whom do you reckon we will swap him for now?Similar to Brent Read, I'm not sure you understood the restraint clause, the Deed or the consent orders.
Turns out we didn't.Did we have the ability to use him as leverage and swap him with another player in the NRL until the end of 2027?
How many NRL players have the Storm signed that were already stars when they arrived? Maybe just Coates. Utoikamanu was underwhelming at the Tigers, including in his single Origin series off the bench. The vast majority of their best players came through their pathways. That's where talent identification matters. You don't even need BarTV Sports to find talent already playing NRL. @hindy111 picked Luca Moretti long before he carved up in reserve grade last weekend.
I suspect they were able to keep them as long as they did because they didn't sign any big names from outside the club after Maloney (2019) and Tamou (2020) left.Yes correct sir once they developed in the system and became first graders..

Well yeah. They had multiple generational players in their lineup so they couldn’t afford to. Do we have the same issue? How many NRL players have the Storm signed that were already stars when they arrived? Maybe just Coates. Be your own man ffs. You don't have to do everything Avenger tells you to. He will backflip as soon as you're no longer useful to him.
I'm not arguing for signing stars at any cost. He probably isn't either, but just has a different idea of what cost represents too much. In my case, I think the club has a fair idea of what "too much" means for a player like Koloamatangi, and how much it's likely to harm our ability to retain pathways talent once they need top 30 offers to stay.Fairly sure you are both making the same case here..

Well I don't agree with that so I'm not correct. Please go back and edit your post. My opinion is that you do have to rush these merkins through if you want to keep them. The top SG Ball players are already getting 'expressions of interest' from rival clubs, if not full time contract offers. That makes it very hard to bring them through slowly. It certainly makes it hard to lock them down in the cheap for several years. The best you can hope for is a kid happy to play a season or two in reserve grade while getting paid ~$300kCorrect we need to continue to fill our top 30 we cant just ruch these kids through and then over inflate their value. Make them fight for a spot.

They were caught cheating the cap to fit 'multiple generational players in their lineup'. How do you reckon they're doing it now? And why weren't they doing it before?Well yeah. They had multiple generational players in their lineup so they couldn’t afford to. Do we have the same issue?
It worked for Penrith.Ok so you are incorrect
And that's how you blow your cap.
Right but if we got him, we wouldn't need pathways players at his position. Just like we didn't need them when we had Moses and Drown on contract. But it's a lot easier to fit young forwards into the squad. You can even introduce them to NRL much easier, dialing up their minutes from the bench. If you can jag a star who will lead and your younger kids then yes you probably need to try to get them.
As has been mentioned though Chasing Galvin would have blocked players pathways so what is the plan
I know. Their 2006-2010 teams were more stacked than the ones that came afterwards. They were caught cheating the cap to fit 'multiple generational players in their lineup'. How do you reckon they're doing it now? And why weren't they doing it before?
