Right but if we got him, we wouldn't need pathways players at his position. Just like we didn't need them when we had Moses and Drown on contract. But it's a lot easier to fit young forwards into the squad. You can even introduce them to NRL much easier, dialing up their minutes from the bench.

But we do have pathways players in that position plenty of talented ones coming through.

Well we have a vacancy from next year. And knowing Moses, there will likely be opportunities for 2026. But just because you have a player in your pathways doesn't mean you need to keep them. Isaiya Katoa came through Penrith's pathways.

How many NRL players have the Storm signed that were already stars when they arrived? Maybe just Coates. Utoikamanu was underwhelming at the Tigers, including in his single Origin series off the bench. The vast majority of their best players came through their pathways. That's where talent identification matters. You don't even need BarTV Sports to find talent already playing NRL. @hindy111 picked Luca Moretti long before he carved up in reserve grade last weekend.

Pou: We couldnt keep Ethan Sanders because there was an origin star and International star ahead of him!

Also Pou: Jerome luai (12 SoO, 26 Internationals), Stef U (3 SoO,3 Internationals) and Tito Turuva ( 14 internationals) are nuffies because SoO and internationals dont mean anything and it doesnt fit my narrative.

Where'd this 'Origin stars' qualifier come from? Sanders had Jamal Fogarty in front of him and couldn't get a run ffs

Well we need to ensure they are ready first how many of the Riffs juniors made their debut before they were 20
Burton
Cleary
Crichton
Leniu
McLean
Staines
Tago
Turuva
Yeo

Mostly the outside backs, as is the case for most teenaged debutantes. Even Yeo started as a centre.

I hate to say it, because I've said it for years - but we need patience.

There is quality in our lower ranks - Fletcher, Talataina, Petrus, Koina, Talagi, Koinakis....

For the first time in a long time, we have some genuine prospects in our juniors.

Problem is, we have an ordinary First Grade side.

What's the point in waiting for all these potential juniors to come good and if they do come good, when by the time they come good we will have lost our greatest strength, our number 7. I don't fancy us getting another great one for at least a decade or so. Sorry but I have been around way to long to think Parra have truly turned the corner and will be good enough in recruitment or even retention to bag another top 3 half again for many, many years.

And if you think we don't need a top 3 half to WIN a premiership, then you don't know footy or Parra at all. Even the best run clubs have top three 7's or at least halves at their peek were in the mix of that type of half or at least a rep quality halves combination of some sort.

We would be starting from scratch again and we know how we get things so right and we will have a great quality halves combination real quick and vying for a title quick smart without much of a hiccup at all...NOT!

Has Adam Reynolds ever been a top 3 half? You just need horses for courses.
