Mitch Barnett has dismissed concerns about his reconstructed knee, declaring he is “ready to go” as the NSW Origin enforcer closes in on a transfer deal with the Broncos.
This masthead can reveal the bidding war for Barnett is hotting up, with the departing Warriors prop weighing up four clubs as he mulls over what shapes as the final contract of his career.
It is understood the Dragons, Parramatta and Manly are all in the running for the signature of Barnett,
who has also fielded a two-year, $1.5 million offer from the Broncos.

“I’m just ready to go,” Barnett said on Monday on a New Zealand league show hosted by his former Warriors teammate Shaun Johnson.
“I don’t care what round it is, who it is, I’m ready to go.
“I have been ready to go since before Christmas.
“I have ticked some things off that I needed to do with my knee.
