Irony? Is this like Alanis Morisette’s irony where nothing is actually ironic? I don’t see what burning down Cumberland Stadium has to do with living in one of the most dangerous cities in the world?
It can happen anywhere, even downtown Parra. Why are the NRL putting a team there? Do they have investments in the Mumu market? Maybe there's money to be made once the Federal Gov decided to throw in 600 million over ten years under the guise of sports diplomacy.

Because Albanese wants to stay in government and hoping this is a stepping stone, this wasn’t a football decision, but more a political….unfortunately this franchise will fail in years to come, very unstable environment, and won’t go down well with the locals who are living in abject poverty, and the millionaires are swanning around in their luxury detached from the real world compound

A stadium burning down 40 years ago is no comparison to a city that is currently and consistently one of the most dangerous cities in the world.

Labor doesn't need to throw 600 million at PNG unless it's seen as part of defending OZ in a military sense. They couldn't give a shit about the NRL. They're better off spending our money on junkets to climate change forums.

Well, they'll probably end up winning a premiership before us. Luckily for me I can pass the baton on to you to carry on the tradition.

Few people realise that when Cumberland Oval was burned down, they also burned a bunch of people there for sorcery, and then divvied up their wives and goats among the tribes.

Assuming Nathan goes to PNG and Ryles doesn’t improve us do we go all out for Ivan Cleary as our coach in 2028?
I would get Matt Cameron back and get him to replace MON.

Its a bitter pill to swallow that Cameron said a few years back Penrith have built there whole pathways system and dynasty off what he and Brian Smith tried to do at Parramatta and what the vision was then for us.
