I'm no Ricky fan just based on his personality but his coaching last year was superb being robbed in that final where Hudson Young got sin-binned for being headbutted which turned the game.

Also, the GF against Easts Raiders were also robbed.

The premiership he assed himself into was for the Chooks after Graham Murray had created that GF winning squad.
Stuart is perfect for Canbra because he runs a good “the worlds against us” culture.

At the Roosters he won exploiting the gang tackle rule.

An excellent article by Dean Ritchie in the Telegraph today laying the blame on coaches for all the rule changes that have been necessary to keep up with the way the coaches look to cheat. It really only touches the surface I am afraid but yes we definitely need to turn the screws on the coaches.
Force them to do more media, more charity and make them contribute more on game day. I am sick of the TV camera zooming to the coaches sitting up in the box with the same expression on their dumb faces 20 times a game. It is like TV trying to remind the viewer that these parasites should be an asset to the game rather than the ball and chain that they are. Make them sit on the sideline and let fans throw rotten eggs at them.

Wasnt DA coaching the warriors in 2001.

He got them to 8th spot first time they made the finals and we pumped them by 50 at home.

We were going that good Smith just had 12 on the field for the last 10-15 mins.
Ah you are correct. Smith probably should’ve still asked him to step in that week

"We see it every week, coaches illegally and immorally pushing the game’s laws to the absolute limits, most centred around the ruck, where the game is essentially won and lost."

It's neither illegal let alone immoral (that's f**ken absurd) to push the laws to the limits. By definition if you're within the law but at the limit then it's legal.

As for immoral well that's patently moronic.

Then his only cited instance of great referring is the 2026 ref's favourite Tigpies getting a ridiculous penalty to win the game. In Ritchie's own words "gifting the Wests Tigers a matchwinning penalty". They were gifted allright.

Dean Ritchie is a bonehead.

Maybe the dogs fans don't think that
They’ve gone back to wearing their Champion hoodies and balaclavas this week and put the NRL stuff away . They’d be extra upset after having to do a servo drive off in the WRX to get to Parramatta thinking it was in the bag . Even the favourite wife no doubt copped a gob full last night.

The dark arts are an obvious "extreme negative" whether you want to use the word illegal or immoral or not is up to the individual.
We can actually point to data now that indicates that over the last 15 years or so wrestling cost the game a small fortune in terms of crowds $ and TV ratings thus $ and I would make the argument that alone is basically theft. Yes, these coaching tactics have held the game back in such a way that it amounts to theft.
Dean Ritchie is a bonehead.
Normally yes. But in this instance, he is a Boonhead...and that is a good thing indeed.
