Run to finals

The Raiders and Tigers have only themselves to blame, no real excuse (especially for Canberra who just continue to frustrate their fans as probably only Warriors fans can appreciate) for drifting so far from the 8 - they aren't any worse IMO than the Warriors or Brisbane, but have shot themselves in the foot repeatedly

Anyway, the Broncos and us are a bit up and down at the moment, but I reckon there's only an illusion that either will miss the 8, too many things need to happen in an even competition

We don't need to worry about the Raiders. I think They'll lose their next 3 and that'll be it.

Knights and the Tigers will win a couple more games but will fall short.

I think the top 8 is decided. No idea on the order though.

The Tigers have the draw to make a run, the Knights have an easy month but a tough finish, I reckon if we beat them in round 22 they’re history. I can’t see th Raiders still being in contention by th time we play them in the final round.

The Raiders have a shocking run home, which is going to count against them. But with their pommy hooker back on deck, they are a different side. I think they could, could pull this off. But the run home is probably just too hard.

Yeah, Canberra can beat anyone on their day - but they can lose to anyone too, and lose from any lead...

Bottom line is they've been so inconsistent it's hard to imagine - but there must be 5 games they should have won - notably against us, that was the most appalling last few minutes you could imagine

yep, the difference between us and them this year is that generally speaking we win the games we're supposed to.

If we beat Melbourne...

And if the Panthers (away) lose to Broncos, Sharks (home) lose to Canberra, and St George (away) lose to the Cowboys, and the Roosters (away) lose to Manly...

We would be 2nd equal with Melbourne and St George

Throw in the Rabbits (away) losing to the Tigers, we would only be 1 win behind the Rabbits.

Chances?

Almost zero of course, but any of those individual results could easily happen...none of the top 8 have an "easy" game this weekend. Cowboys, Manly, and Tigers at home are threats. Canberra is in good form...

Going to be a great weekend if we can upset the Storm somehow.

Sounds like a very very well paying multi.

Edit: had to look $243.67 multi.

Anyone have any idea for why we have had so many Friday night games this year?

I have a mate who works night shift weekdays and has missed quite a few games live this year and noticed we have another 3 coming up still.

Convenient for the NRL. 8pm Auckland time is 6pm AEST. That fills the 6pm Friday Night television spot in Australia perfectly. Otherwise they would have 2 teams at an empty stadium in Sydney because people would find it hard to get there in time after work on a Friday.

It’s been great for me personally as I pretty much never work Friday arvos or nights. Would’ve been annoying when I worked in the city and was usually still at Friday drinks until after that game was over though!

https://www.nrl.com/news/2018/07/26/predicting-the-top-four-nrl.com-experts-have-their-say/

This guy must be Kiwi?
Only one to predict we make top4.

Andrew Marmont (NRL.com reporter)
1. Storm
2. Roosters
3. Rabbitohs
4. Warriors
I see the Warriors making a late-season dash into the top four with a decent run home, while the Storm will take out the minor premiership. The Roosters are building at the right time and South Sydney can cash in with some big wins against the Eels, Tigers and Raiders.
