Russell Crowe's Tribute Club

and it occurred to me that Russell Crowe hadn't been praised enough for what he's done for fans of the now-defunct South Sydney Rabbitohs club.

This proud foundation club was around for nearly 100 years, being established in 1908, and disbanding in 1999 because they were sh*t and nobody went to their games.

But Russell Crowe was rich enough and had enough spare time to invent his own tribute club - one that the old Souths fans would want to go and watch, because it was owned by a famous celebrity, and wore a similar uniform to the old club.

The old Souths club won 19 premierships before they folded, and Russell Crowe's new club hopes to win twice that many (38) before he dies and the club goes bankrupt. Their inaugural year (2002) was bumpy but they have gone from strength to strength and thanks to Russell's fame, they don't have to worry about the salary cap that constrains the other clubs.

Russell Crowe is the greatest Australian in the history of the world. Yes he was born in New Zealand, but so was Pharlap and we claim him. No we don't, f**k it, Russell would whip Pharlap's arse over two miles and has a schlong twice as long, so NZ can keep Pharlap, we'll have Russell.

Russell Crowe as an actor makes Laurence Olivier look like Craig Mclaughlin. His musical talent surpasses anything that has been dished up by anyone over the last 50 years, damn it Bastard Life or Clarity is the only CD worth having in your collection. And as a humitarian, as a man, he pisses all over Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King or that fancy Jesus Christ character. I could listen to Russell's wonderfully interesting and intelligent views on life forever. Truly he is the renaissance man.

But you haters want to put him down. You haters and your haterism want to hate him with your hateful hatred. I hate it. Russell is the greatest football administrator in the game's history, the greatest tactician, damn it if it wasn't for his dodgy left knee he would have been an immortal who captain coached the bunnies to 16 straight titles. But haters are gunna gate.

And all you haters, even you souths fans who don't worship at the foot of Russell - watch out because Russell is coming with his 30 odd foot of grunt and he's gunna bend you over and show you what it means to be his bitch.
