When i think back to the last RL world cup, it was getting bagged left, right and center because of inferior competition and all the Aussies playing under the grandparent rule. Look at the standard of the RWC. Pathetic!
Uraguay are a total joke, the standard of south american footy must be REAL bad. (except Argentina), Fiji are a ghost of themselves, Ireland are only a midrange team; as all European teams are except France and England. Where are all the knockers of this totally ridiculas event. This is a farce, and i am totally flabbergasted by the amount of people attending the games. Does this mean Aussies will turn up to anything that is on the world stage (got big crowds to the Olympics for unheralded events-equestrian!), all this people will go home convinced this sport is not as strong as it makes out, and therefore demand back the exaggerated prices they paid for their tickets? Or are these people mainly from overseas supporting their own country?? Aussies are curious, and so long as Bundy rum sponser this circus and supply copius amount of rum, will they continue to show up, get wasted and not even care if that was a bunch of old ladies playing bridge on the field, as long as rum and beer were there, they'd turn up anyway.
Soccer is the real world sport, Union is light years behind, but convince them of that!!!
