Only 31 and still got three or even four good seasons left in him.

Give us size and experience in three quarter line. I'd take Cross in front of Moltzen, Daniella, Utai... A handy backup but not a starter. All teams need some experienced backups.

I haven't seen Cross play for years. Does he still have much pace?

As much as I like the way Ayshford is developing as a centre I would like to see him set up and position his winger better, or pass the ball to them for that matter. Maybe Cross could be an option at centre for a season or so but I am not 100% this is forward progress for the club. Like Reddy, Cross is solid but you have to wonder how long these young guns are going to hang around waiting for their turn.

I don't much like having a 150-200k back sitting on the bench.

Sign him for 75k if you want him as a benchie, otherwise pay him 200k and make him start.

Personally I think he's rubbish and hope he doesn't come here.
