If you're happy to get through despite clearly not deserving to and having to rely on a clearly cheating ref who allowed a Crusaders player to deliberately headbutt Stephen Moore and break his jaw, good on ya. And that typifies the night. Clear ruck formed, Crusaders player goes in offside with hands all over and takes the ball, no call from the ref and try despite what should have been a blatantly obvious penalty to the Brumbies.

Reds went oh so close.

Pity they couldn't win by 110 points.....

Great season though. Best team in the comp to watch and exceeded any and all expectations people had for them.

Next year with a team recovered from injuries they will be a force to reckon with. They have a couple of greta young props to replace Weaks with and will have a fit James Horwill back.

Braid is a big loss but they have shown they can win without him.
