It was bloody impossible to watch but Crusaders do it once again.

It was pretty sad, really. It had the potential to be a great contest, but the conditions were plain atrocious. They really should have postponed the game.

That being said, deserved win to the Crusaders. They completely dominated for the entire 80 minutes, and really should have won by more.

well as a rugby fan, the first half was basically unwatchable on tv. For the showpiece game of the s14 comp, i think it is embarrasing.

the fact that the showpeice event was unwatchable, on TV and at the ground, due to the conditions was embarrassing. this was one game that many non RU fans would watch all year apart from the Bledisloe and they couldn't. not a good advertisement for the game...it should have been postponed.

Rugby Union once amateur always amateur....I read where everybody wanted to the play the game...NZ RU etc etc etc but at no time did they consider the spectators...what a joke!:iwstupid:

A joke of a game and to think this is the Southern Hemisphere's showpiece provincial event..... Me thinks a) Jade Stadium either get a decent upgrade and get a retractable roof similar to Millenium Stadium in Cardiff or b) play the game in a neutral better arena like in the Heineken Cup or Champions League finals.

Talking of the Heineken Cup that final pretty much blew the S14 one out of the water, a great game played in front of 79,000 fans... SANZAR please take note.

Which turned out to be the right call... The fog rolled in at 2 on Sunday.. conditions would have been worse.

It was absolutely the right decision to play the game. The uproar would have
been much bigger if they had postponed until Sunday. If I had been booked
to fly back to Auckland (say) early Sunday morning, I would have been highly
pissed off.
