If rugby needed a response to Friday night's debacle in Wellington, it was served up in Hamilton last night with nary a referee's whistle heard. Thank goodness. Just the sweet sound of thundering Chiefs' hooves on the rock-hard sward as they ran in nine tries in a 63-34 breakout display. The Blues, outplayed all night and frankly embarrassed by match's end, were a distant, distant second in this contest, although they at least picked up a bonus point for their five tries.
