Let's not get carried away, yes he said all of the right things. But how much rope does he get if appointed head coach? We have just dealt with nepotism if things go pear shape will his father step in and stop his son being sacked? Until Craig Young is removed from the club St George District board whatever I cannot get behind it.

Club needs to do their due diligence Young has been part of the problem for three years we cannot forget that stop being reactive because he dropped Kyle.

More sour grapes from a Flanno apologist.

I absolutely agree that the reasons behind his appointment are far less than professional. But this might be a good thing coming out of a bad situation, who knows.

Maybe we're wrong about Dean. Just judging on his media appearances today, his temperament and demeanour seems to be far more professional than what it was the last time he was interim.

Just trying to find reasons to be hopeful.

Ultimately, on field results will (should) determine his future.

He has certainly started well with off field stuff though...

That’s a really sad way to look at it .
It’s obvious the three years he’s been in this coaching group he’s done what he is told regarding D. You do realise the head coach dictates how he wants his defence to look like????
plus have a look at who he’s had to work with lol.
If you think this appointment is all nepotism you are gonna have a sad life my friend.
just give him a go

Genuine question - if someone else (ie someone neutral in all the shit that goes on here around Flanno etc) made the same point, would you be more receptive to it?
No, not at this stage. It is very early days in Dean's stint as interim coach.

He is a club legend and at the very least deserves to be treated fairly and with an open mind from us supporters.

If after some time, there's no signs of improvement, then fair enough let's pile on Deano!

Just perhaps for once , all the Agenda Setters on here , can sit back , take a deep breath , and give Young and Co an opportunity to try and get us back on track
Bagging of the Young family is such poor form
no one gives us a hope against the Roosters
more changes to come
new recruits on the way
going to take time , but like most , was mightingly impressed with what DY presented yesterday
Giving Reed an opportunity in such a high profile match a huge risk but a great show of faith in the youngster

Yes, spot on DD.

Let's give DY some breathing room, he has made some good changes already.

If it doesn't work out how we hope, then by all means he can be held accountable then.
