If the review is done by Mr and Mrs Latimore, Mr and Mrs Aitken and Mr and Mrs Lafai, Mary will get a glowing review and possibly a 5 year extension.

Watching Controversey Corner on Fox the other night when they discussed McGregor and it beacme clear why the media will not criticise him...all 4 panellists, Toovey, Blocker, Hughes & Buzz all confirmed they are best mates with him and they talk to him frequently and stated they were loathe to criticise him. The only one who said he should be moved on was Buzz.

Everyone is getting excited about a new coach, this same scenario happended a couple of years ago when we all thought Cleary was signed, sealed and delivered. It was revealed later that the board had not even spoken to any alternative coach. I get the same feeling this time...there is a lot of speculation about who we will get etc, but my guess is that the board has not even reached a decision yet on whether he will be terminated let alone having a short list of replacements...that would be too proactive for this mob. The board is just a bunch of old, fat men who have no business acumen whatsoever...relics from a past era who won't let go of the good old days!!

To me one of the big questions is WHEN they resigned him did they give him a 2 year extension AND a pay rise ?? seems ludicrous that he could command a $600,000 salary as he has no experience outside of the local comp and hardly result orientated with first grade . Good luck to the guy if the amount is correct BUT what the hell would decent first grade quality coaches be on if ours is on what is reported ???? 400 thou would be more realistic if not a little high ... If mary is such a team man he should do the honourable thing and resign with some sort of golden handshake as a sweetener / thankyou . would have taken me 10 years working to get that salary that he gets in 1 .....

Correct,
I can employ a dam good painter for around 100k a year, 400- 600k a year for McGregor is a con job.

He was a 'waterboy' ..... who was asked to fill in after Price was axed.

I cannot see him getting paid that kind of coin but whatever he's getting, he's not giving value.

The gamble didn't pay off.
The club lost.
The fans lost.

Time to get serious.

This is a rumour site so here’s what I was told today. I told someone who is a respected figure in Wollongong that the drums were beating loudly and McGregor would be gone soon. His response was he was told yesterday that it’s happening. Here’s hoping.
We all hope so Hewi, it must and needs to happen.
I don't buy into this shit that the Dragons can't afford to pay him out. He's best buddies with Andrew Gordon the multi millionaire whom is Chairman of the Board & Club. Surely this bloke whom backed him & put him there, is responsible to remove him and cover the costs or simply get McDeflector to paint both Leagues clubs & Gym for his $$.

Bellamy apparently signed a contract last year for $1.7 million a year for 3 years. We can't compete with those sort of dollars.

Why does the media support McIdiot. Hurry up and sack this imposter. He needs to be humiliated.
It's probably because they want the Dragons to continue to be a shit team and wallow as cellar dwellers and by supporting McIdiot, it might help to keep him as coach at the Dragons.

Only repeating what has been said on countless occasions over the last 1/2 decade - yes that’s correct 1/2 a bluudy decade and that is he must go . The J.V. has no choice, no option open to them any longer than to terminate his contract at the completion of this weekends game .

Surely the sponsors must be unhappy with the current situation with the Dragons - 15th position. It has been a long hard year but I wonder how those sponsors feel at this point in time knowing that there companies will not be up there on the big stage come semi final time ? A lot of good money down the drain is the way that I would perceive it .

There is only one solution for a permanent fix to this 1/2decade crisis and that is to search for another individual who could take the Dragons to the very top of the NRL tree ,
not just some ‘ hick ‘ to fill the role , but someone who will restore pride back into the Big Red V . :innocent:

If he doesn't go they say he needs to start 2020 well.athen the NRL would make our draw, r1 melb away,r2 sharks kogarah, r3 bris away, r4 manly at gong, r5 raiders, away r6 souths kogarah, then roosters on Anzac day later .
We woudn't win any of those.
