They’re pretty much the opposite of each other contract wise. With Dan’s current form, there’s the risk that he drops off and doesn’t fully capitalise on his current value for as long as he can. Long term contract is good for him.

Jacob has potential to become a rep player and earn a bigger contract next time, so doesn’t want to sign up for too long. Shorter contract is perhaps better for him.

I’m actually surprised at how long Jacob is locked up for- you get the feeling he could earn bigger dollars/years elsewhere. Good work by the club and Jacob.

You would think in a couple of years they downgrade klemmer and upgrade Jsaf.

It wouldn't surprise me if Jsaf made the origin team next year. Surely he's a better pick than Paulo, Jurbo or Finucane
