Dylan Brown will miss Gutho at the Eels. Others from that club will also. They respect him as a person and player. Gutho also has plenty of good words about the club he has left and shows no hard feelings especially after being there for 9 years.

He doesn't bear any grudges because he respects the decisions made and he knows that he has made the right decision in signing with us and is looking forward to playing in the RedV jersey.

Did the Dragons have a guy named Ben Hunt play for them? If he did, I cannot remember him saying anything nice about our club after he left us.
I’m probably just bitter, but I don’t remember him saying much nice when he did play for us either

Just comparing Sloan and Turuva (too lazy today to get others) -

Tyrell Sloan: Weight 93kgs and Height 185cm (6ft 1 in) and age 22
Sunia Turuva: 88kgs and 181cm and 22

Both still much less in terms of weight and height from a lot of other wingers but Sloan has now grown and should be able able to compete quite well on the wing when you compare his details against Turuva who is a pocket dynamo and did wll at the Panthers.

Tyrell will muscle up a lot more this preseason. Last preseason he got injured in the Koori Knockout Comp and was not able to go into training under Flanno and the other coaches and Fitness staff so in a way he was a bit under done for 2024. Next year though, he will be stronger and tougher and fitter.
Agree with all that.

He needs to embrace the contact. Relish the collision. They are not usually coach able things. I really hope he finds it.

From the Fox article: “Gutherson‘s philosophy has always been to build relationships with teammates off the field first, in a bid to ensure they work harder for each other on the field.

“You’ve got to build relationships,” Gutherson said.

“That’s how you build culture, you’re getting to know each other away from footy, not just at footy.”

Leadership. How we have missed you these last few years. It’s good to have you back!

Is everyone thinking what I’m thinking??

Good riddance for the old captain.

“I called ‘Sloany’ straight away when I signed down here and had a chat with him and told him where I think I can help him.

“It’s his spot. He’s been playing there for a couple of years now.

“He’s had enormous pressure on him as a kid, so to be able to help and guide him to where he wants to be as a player and what he wants to do in his career, I think I can be a massive help with that.

“I’ve latched onto him in my time here already. We’ve been hanging out and picking each other’s brains.

This is marvellous stuff. You love to see it.

Massive signing for us on and off the field.

All class.

In stark contrast to the clown we had as captain for the past 7 years who only worried about self promotion.

Great interview with The Doctor Lindsay McDougall on ABC Illawarra. Gutho is always enjoyable to listen to.. I can see why the Eels fans all loved him

Notice how he always puts himself in the frame to backup etc... Just like all the Top Line Players....

Something we have been missing for years...someone who never gives up and does the Extra 1%ers well.
Yep, so good getsmarty. Gutho has the stamina/staying power that I hope can be passed onto the others. He just keeps going. I know he had some big forwards playing at the Eels who paved the way and helped and we will have that.

No wonder he is the KING.

I didn’t realise how good a support player he is. Today’s version of Terry Lamb.
Puts himself in the right place for opportunistic tries as well.
Yes, he is such a good reader of play and has great anticipation. Stuff that isn't taught but a trait of his. He seems to seize all of the opportunities that are presented and gets himself involved quickly because of his speed and stamina. You cannot teach that.
