Hope all had a great off season.

A little spark back in my step now that our dragons are soon to start the action again. Today has that Sunday feel but with that little bit of a difference.

Have been in off season hibernation after that crazy Parra game that you would not have read about in Ribald

New to forum last year and banged on about culture heaps, it is fundamental. Was hoping that Ben Hunt would be the answer, he wasn't and was never going to be. Good luck to him moving forward. It was long overdue.

Still scratching my head re Zac but best that he moved on and our culture will be best for it. All credit to him in his support of Codey Ramsey.

Gutho, he will be something special at our club in many ways, for a long time. A great buy, a great investment.

Valentine Holmes and Damien Cook bring experience and are true competitors.

These 3 signings I believe will provide a framework for some great juniors to develop in the next couple of years with a new dragon culture to emerge in my view / hope.

Scratching my head re Frank Molo situation. Probably the end of his journey with the dragons. Wish him the best but if he is not on board for any reason,we will survive.

The change is here and it will be a very testing season for us but we will be better for it.

The coach has done a great job pulling us up from the league sewer, we still have a clean up to do and for quite a time, but we are not swimming in it anymore

Best to all in the ups and the downs which are both on their way.

Gutho has been good in our 2 trials. Organising the defence. Getting involved around the ruck. But also his talk among the playing group during the game. our previous captain just wasn’t a leader of others, whereas Gutho is speaking to the players and i think making a real positive influence as he does it.

Yeh he has been great for us so far, especially how vocal he is. If you use headphones you can really hear him hyping the players up after a good run.

It was a Mick Potter-esque performance on Saturday v Storm. Near perfect in defence (aside from the early drop and subsequent bad captains challenge), a slick try assist for Val and otherwise apparently everything everywhere all at once. I understand why the Eels fans loved him.

Yeah not a very wise decision and you don't need hindsight to see it. It was dumb from day one.
Lets go of his second best player in Gutho and his best forward in RCG before a ball is kicked. Monumentally stupid. Surprisingly they've lost their first four games...........who'd have figured?
And some people here lamented that we'd missed out on the latest new coaching wunderkind......

Just because Ryles was an assistant coach to Bellamy doesn't mean Ryles will be a good head coach.
When Ryles was playing for the Dragons, he was always making errors and committing fouls and copped a few sin bins. Not the sharps tool in the shed.
I wouldn't be surprised if there is mutiny at the EELS and Ryles is gone by the end of the season.

Had to laugh at Lomax on 100% Footy saying that the Eels had a good opportunity for a win this weekend playing the Dragons. I really hope Gutho has a blinder and we can all shout "Lomax,,,,,,,,who"
