Not his fault, it’s all the players he refuses to drop.

2014 squad: Mary coach = 11th

(8 players arrive. 12 players leave)

2015 squad: Mary coach = 8th

(6 players arrive. 6 players leave)

2016 squad: Mary coach = 11th

(4 players arrive. 7 players leave)

2017 squad: Mary coach = 9th

(4 players arrive. 7 players leave)

2018 squad: Mary coach = 7th

2019 squad: Mary coach = currently 14th

There are stories doing the rounds that he doesn't sign players. If they don't trust him to recruit players why is he trusted with the squad?

He specifically asked for the role of recruitment be taken off him as it compromised his relationship with the players. He had a lot of his duties taken away and given to support staff in 2017.

The question is why they extended him rather than try to recruit someone like Hasler. Apart from the personal relationships etc. and that they regard him highly (not sure why).

I suspect that they are waiting for Bellamy to come off contract at the end of 2021 (?) but that's a fools hope as he would much rather go back to Brisbane than the Dragons.

Oh my god we just got beaten by one of the best teams in the competition.

Must be so hard for you. The Knights had a chance to show something but instead got pumped by a couple of geriatrics.

Tigers at least had a game plan to defeat the Knights.

Souths literally walked onto the field and ran training drills until the last three minutes then ran a play to win the game and show what a shambles team we are.

Interesting.

Eels scored a try off the back of a kick and then another from a few offloads. And then a penalty off the back of a dubious call.

Not much you can do there, just how luck is ay. That's footy.
