[font=Geneva, Arial, Sans-serif]There have been two matches against the Sharks at Kogarah since the Dragons announced their return to the venue in September 2002. The first match back at Kogarah in 2003 was against the Sharks when the Dragons recorded a triumphant 28-12 victory. All 17,000 tickets were pre-sold for the 2003 match.

In 2004 the Dragons defeated their local rivals again 26-14 at Kogarah in front of 16,436 supporters.

The Sharks have played 29 matches at Kogarah with a record of 10 wins, 18 losses and 1 draw.

This is a replica model of the actual skate board that Cronulla fans traveled up to Kogarah on last year.

There are plans to have it mounted in the foyer of Sharks International.

Cronulla, bailed out three times, courted mergers with St George, South Sydney and Illawarra and where told to f**k of by each. Eventually lowered their standards and got into bed with a NSWRL club.

My my, it's quite a litany.

I do doubt that there is another sporting club in this country that leads a more pathetic existance.

At least we have a stand alone existance.
Don't kid yourself. Saints are 10 times more solid than the Sharks-Jets merger, excuse me 'feeder arrangement' - I can but imagine the mess that must be happening there. You don't even have a reserve grade side anymore. Do you really think your mob are happy with watching their players busting their shoulders in Premier League?

And what's in it for Newtown? At least they have history and premierships... something you wouldnt know about. But imagine their situaton now. The opportunity to develop a few good players only to see them swallowed up by another club... without so much as a 'hello'.

Sounds like a match made in heaven.
