Salary Cap - How it will effect us

Every team is required to lodge contracts for 30 players within a $8.3m salary cap plus $400k incentive for long serving players..

The below proposed squad list looks impossibke to secure - it looks like we will lose one of DUGAN or WIDDOP or be prepared to lose 3-4 players being paid $300k plus..

I Can see McCrone, Mose, Milne Havili been let go, Possible Widdop and Or Dugan , its a tough one, we must now Choose between widdop and dugan

Any allowance made for TPA's in your numbers?
What did you base your estimates on?
Milne $300k don't think so.

Based on current form I would take Widdop over Dugan if it came to the dollar crunch. Widdop is better value as he is also the Captain, Goal kicker and one half the brains trust in the playmaking halves combo.
I also feel that both Ben Hunt and Gaz Widdop may offer much appeal in the corporate world to attract TPA's.
Sorry but I cannot see value at $1mil for Duges, sure he is a good player but he's not in that top bracket of game breakers.

If we can raise $1m in TPA agreements we can then keep the bulk of the squad..
I think we will definitely lose either MANN or Mine
I think Milne will go 100%
Lafai will stay
Packer loves the joint won't leave unless shown the door

We struggle to keep.players,and the scummy sharks can sign Tony williams latimore , and still get Segeyaro and Lee though i suppose those two are paid by other clubs
Ennis and Mitch brown ,go i cant think of any others at the moment

A new cap will be announced soon. Players association has not greed to the 8.3m. My guess is as detailed below:

Yes, you only have to watch Packers involvement in our victory song to see he loves being a Dragon

Funny how perspectives can change so quickly. A few months ago we were bemoaning the fact that no established stars would join us. Now with the addition of only Ben Hunt for 2018 we are desperate to fit as many of our current squad under the salary cap as possible. A really positive change as a result of such a strong opening to the season! Congratulations to all involved.
