FWIW Hooper is reporting that the NRL have approved Ben Matulino medical retirement cap exemption.

Its relevance to this thread? Im not 100% sure. Stewart & Matai were knocked back because their injuries pre-dated their contract.

NRL have obviously decided that is not the case with Matulino. IMO it is the case with Burgess

I have played. I just don't play NRL. Body is still pretty damn bashed up though. Concussions are concussions at any level. I've put a fair amount of f**kin time and money into this sport as well. Sam's been looked after plenty by getting paid a shitload every year to play a sport.
