Sam Williams anyone?

This kid is of contract and had a pretty good finish to last year he is off contract at the raiders this season.

Has not done much this season either because he is getting no ball or is not interested but the kid can be anything from what I saw of him last year.

Should we make a play?

I don't really rate Ben Hunt in the halves he has had his couple of games and did pretty much nothing.

Ben Hunt has not had a fair go in the halves. Yes, he's had 1 or 2 games there each year..but that's not enough..Griffin plays him and trains him to be a backup hooker all year, gives him 1-2 games at a half and seems to expect him to slot right in and have a blinder, then hooks him after 1 bad kick. I think Gillett's spent more time in the halves in the last 2 years than Hunt has.

We've put up with so much crap in the halves from Wallace and Norman, and now Prince...yet they get to keep their spot week in week out. Give the kid a month atleast, 4 games back to back to see what he's got. I'm sure what he produces will be a hell of a lot more creative than what Prince/Wallace/Norman can muster.

I continually hope that Wallace will get himself suspended of injured for a decent length of time, but then Griffin will probably just push Numb-nuts Norman into the halves again.

AWTA. We have royally screwed Ben Hunt's development. If he wasn't our starting half, he should have been in Qcup earning his spot as a half.

Re the Sam Williams talk: I believe we'll get Milford from the Raiders. Word is he's very homesick and they were exceptionally lucky to retain him last time. Would also be very surprised if the Raiders let Williams go.

Milford would be a great pick up for the Broncos but Williams should be the player they are targetting. The Broncos need an established half and they need one soon, Williams should be able to provide that. Milford is a great prospect but he is a bit of gamble (as any NYC half is) and he isn't going to be big contributer for another 2-3 years.

If the Broncos are really letting Hunt go, then let Wallace go as well then sign both and Williams/Prince play in the halves for 2014. Let Milford master his craft in QLD cup then Williams/Milford are the halves in 2015.

That's the only way that would keep me happy if Hunt is really leaving.

Sorry, I'll clarify. Milford is the player I can see us getting, not necessarily the player we need for 2014. Agree completely that we need someone established but I can't see them letting Williams go. McCrone yes, but not Williams.
