Fun game you're playing. Can I join?

Shane Neumann
Grant Millington

Scott

Soward

Boyd

Costigan
Fien
Gasnier
Beale
Harrison

Gaz was a junior ya dill. Boyd was unwanted by Brisbane. Bennett was responsible for the majority of the rest. None of these signings were major coups by Doust and that was my point. We sign poo and our recruitment is up the shit. Hence why we have a halves combination of Soward and Fien.

So you're handing all the credit for Bennett signings to Bennett.. and all the credit for Hasler signings to Greenberg? Gaz did return and needed to be signed, dill. Doust got his man

f**k off mate. I could have signed Gaz when he returned, he was a local boy and wanted to return, and did so for a paltry 55k. Long before Hasler came to Canterbury, the Bulldogs were active and efficient in the player market. The very signing of Hasler is one example. Doust is a dud!

Swearing and personal abuse - classic symptoms of a floundering argument.

The $55k deal was a pretty smart piece of business by Doust. The very signing of Bennett was another. Around we go

smart business or commonsense?

I'll give him the Bennett signing but its still not a great strike rate for Douche

We need a half, a centre and a front rower and we should be aggressively chasing the best on the market. They're key players that we need. It seems that when we're seriously actively in the marketplace as was the case with Cronk, Bellamy and Jennings the whole world knows about it. So I'm surprised... not surprised, baffled, in fact .. that we haven't been publicly linked with Matt Scott and Israel Folau and are sort of listed as an "as-if-he'd-go-there" afterthought on the list of teams after Sam Williams and Corey Norman.

I don't pretend to know what our recruitment policy is, but I'd really like to know. Based on everything that's in the public domain it looks like a disaster.

(I mean, I get it that some people would argue that Folau's been a while out of the game etc etc etc. But all right then, which centre are we going to buy who goes anywhere near making us a contender? Please, FFS, I love youse all, but don't throw any of the current incumbents, Green, Runciman or Vidot at me. They aren't good enough now and they won't be good enough in 2014. No, seriously, they won't. We need to BUY one.)

you were putting up a good point of view until you used Bennett coming onboard as an example of Doust being smart...
we all know how that really unfolded..

I couldn't care less how long Issy has been out of the game, he has no heart or loyalty, no sense of pride where he is or what he is.. I would hate, no matter how good he is, to see him at my club..

theres no floundering arguement because the nature of what we are talking about is subjective. I think Greenberg has done a much better job than Doust and you think otherwise. I have presented evidence to support my view, and you have presented evidence to support my view :)lol:), but its all subjective :p

Wild exaggeration seems to be Breathingfire's style. Stay tuned for profanity and personal abuse...

I have no idea how much pressure is being applied to Doust and the board (or if it is even possible to apply pressure).

But, a signing like this would go a long way to call the dogs off them.

Doust and his mates would be smart to make this signing happen.

McCrone and Campese will make way to keep Williams plus Milford might end up back in Qld playing Rugby with the Reds.

He is certainly worth a serious look at if that means guys like Vidot and Soward are shown the door I have no problem with that.

On that note if he wants to be a serious footballer you don't worry who's at the club you take the $$$$'s on offer.

True 1/2 backs are a rare commodity these days. Punt Soward if that is the obstacle. Honestly it's a no brainer.
