dissapointing to see such a promising season fail again. coach not the problem, players lacking discipline and leadership. the need for 4 quality 1st grade players is so evident which is needed for 2005 could yous imagine the roosters giving t he ball to TODD payten on the 5th tackle ????? it wouldnt happen to well drilled outfit!! thats y theres such a gap between the top 5 and the rest!!!

I'm not sure what the answer is for next year.

I doubt that we are spending our full salary cap, yet we are not in anyway active on the player market ( although to be fair we don't appear to be losing any young guys either...)

So really for 2005, we can only hope that the young talent coming through can improve enough to see us challenge the top sides, otherwise its more of the same...

It also comes down to a inexperienced half not willing to take control.
Mate we have many problems, halfback and kicking game included, but the number 1 problem is lack of go forward!Andrew Johns would struggle to perform in a side like ours that persists in trying to run around teams before making the inroads up the middle!

I actually think if anything tonight Keiran tried to do too much. He seemd to be trying to make up for his poor start by making a champion play. In all honesty I dont think Keiran was any worse tonight than Benji was against the bulldogs. But I do agree that I think Keiran has blown his chance

If you say Kerr was worse than Marshall against the Bulldgos, then he deserves to keep his spot if Marshall did.

Nick im sure most people on here know I would love to see Keiran given another go next week. I have known him since we were 4. However, being realistic football is hard world and people live and die by their last games. Tonight Keiran had a shocker. Do I think he isnt capable. God no. However, he needed a big game tonight and it didnt happen for him

cheers

The most disappointing thing is that people (incl me) arent happy with Wilson as 5.8th and so were pushing a Kerr(7)/Prince(6) combo.

Kerr has done exceptionally well in his sprevious games, and as ST said, he needed a big game tonight to force Sheens to choose him next week. Then we would have had attacking options at 6 and 7. Unfortunately, he chose tonight to have an absolute shocker and perhaps ruin a good chance at kickstarting his NRL career.

Keiran is prone to having shockers when he needs a big game. He has played two woeful games in the last few years. Tonight and in the premier league grand final a few years ago

I believe Sheens was playing Prince at Halfback so he would play Halfback for QLD. Now that is over I think he will move Prince out to 5/8 and play Kerr at Halfback.

well wait a sec wilson has played SH!T over the last few weeks but yet he maintains his spot sooo maybe tim will give kerr another go now. i for one sure hopes he does one bad game doenst make u a bad player. even the best have a shocker now and again. i would luv to see a prince/kerr combo but u cant expect that to work over night

Nick i dont think that has anything to do with it. But people who criticise Keiran should recognise at least he had a go tonight. Most of things he did were poor but unlike Wilson he had a dig.

Disappointing to see no real improvement in basic 5th tackle options.....round five I was whinging about Prince chipping on the 5th, 30m out from our line against the dragons.....round 17, 12 weeks on and were still giving it to a f**king prop on the 5th and running it 25m out from ours on the 5th.
Jesus H christ!!! Even f**king under 8's show some improvement thru the year .

Yeah its been dissapointing again, but i guess sheens did say at the start of the season that we would challenge for the top 8 and we are still very much in the mix. The fact we're down two 5/8's (Reynolds and Marshall) hasnt helped us , ultimately, its been rare this season to have been able to hold a stable team, either rep, duty, injuries and poor form have all contributed. Perhaps if our side had been so stable it could be different. Still, we're not finshed yet.
