Lyons won't win you a G/F. One good player will not compensate for all the millions of flaws that Manly has. Last year there was a window of oppurtunity for an upset whereas in the coming years a team like Manly will not get within three football fields of Melbourne, St G & Dogs.

You forgot to mention that Robertson, Franklyn Rose, Brendan Magnus and Jason King have also augmented their standing as f/g standard players.
