Great for Wests Tigers but what are the QLD selectors on? If Sattler hasn't been playing 10 times better than Tonie Carrol then I'll give it up. They haven't even picked a halfback in the squad... The QLD selectors are so one eyed toward the Broncos they obviously have no Idea.

ohh and hopefully this fires them up for Friday night because we need 2 of our best firing if we are going to get a win over the panthers.

I think Berrigan has been one of the best centres in the comp lately. Why move him? He is a shit halfback so why not play a young kid in Prince or Seymour and give them confidence. I think Prince should get it over Seymour because he has been playing the better footy by a long way.

I wonder if Cameron Smith might get a No 7 jersey? Seriously with Lockyer in the 6 they don't need a genius at half. So long as Bennett can get the forwards playing like they did in Game 3 last year they'll always be a threat.

Remember...this squad can change. Players like Prince, Sattler, Nathan Fien and Clinton Schifcoske for example, who seem to be the forgotten men of the Maroon's camp in recent times, can push for a spot in their form warrants selection. But like Yappy, i was thinking the same thing about Cameron Smith. He is a great hooker, but has tremendous ball playing skills, and i believe could easily get the job done at halfback for the Queenslander's.

I mean he will be playing inside of Lockyer, who let's face it will be running the show for the Maroons. Seymour for Brisbane isn't the most talent halfback in the game at the moment, but he's getting the job done, by really just supplying the ball to Lockyer when ever he demands it. then there's Matt Bowen, who will be used as a utility more than a fullback. who could well and truely slot into Halfback for a short period. Like Magpie Nick, i'd have Berrigan in the Centre's. Hre's playing great club footy in that position. Why move him, and take away an opportunity for someone like Fien or Prince?

Sattler not being pick suprises me more than prince.
Sattler has been great this year.Don't know how
norton got pick ahead. He has been dreadfull this
year esp. with his hands.
Prince hasn't done enough this year to warrant selection
yet.
Oh well glad i'm a weststigers and blues supporter.
Sh!tcoughski had no chance with the way his playing.
Love to hear what the raiders fans are saying.

Seymour is getting better game by game to me. Doing more and more improving his confidence, I thought Prince and Seymour would get in but I pressumed Prince would play because he has been playing better than Seymour. Stood him up against Broncos the other week and that really opened my eye to why he should be QLD Halfback.

I read an article by Gilly the other day,he was talking about Lockyer,he said that QLD have been looking the next Alfie so long now but all the while they have had the next Lewis right under there noses.

He went on to point out that when Wally played all the QLD halfback had to do was run hard, tackle and give the ball to the King when he wanted it,anyhow to cut a long story short he said just like Qld could get away with a good but not great halfbacks like Murry and Hagan because of the dominant role the 5/8 played, this year with Lockyer at 5/8 all QLD needed at halfback was someone who could run hard and tackle ie Berrigan.

No doubt the selectors are thinking the same way,it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't even mention Prince.

I agree that Sattler should be there instead of Carrol, that decision is a joke #-o

If we don't start pulling some rep jumpers juniors will think twice about staying and stars won't consider us when looking to sign. It very much looks like if you play for the Wests Tigers you don't get a look in at rep time.

Sattler has one Origin game to his credit and it was a shocker (albeit out of position)!!!

At 32 he was never a chance!!

I do get surprised how quick some of our supporters are to don their black - white & gold glasses and ignore the fact that there are better players out there with far greater claims to represent their state!

So Snide are you saying Carrol is more deserving of an Origin jersey than Sattler?

Sattler's omission from the Origin squad surprised me. This man is made for Origin. Yes, he had one game last year, but he played at five-eighth (I think), coming off the bench when the match was long beyond doubt.

I would have him as lock in the Queensland team.

i came up with a QLD team out of the squad they chose:

1 wesser
2 sing
3 tate
4 hodges
5 walker

6 lockyer (c )
7 berigan

8 webcke
9 smith
10 price
11 carlaw
12 crocker (gk)
13 carroll

14 ross
15 civoniceva
16 flannery
17 bowen

now... that is what i think the selectors will probably come up with.

The fact Carroll can play both centre and lock equally effectively - is just 26 - has quality Origin games behind him - has played Tests for NZ - and plays for a winning team suggests to me that he is at least deserving!!!

I would be very suprised to see him get the no. 13 though!!!!

As for my response to the other ignorant replies:

As per above Dale.2 - the answer is a resounding YES!!!!

steven - there is no way Crocker will start ahead of Petero in the 2nd row (just use the Australian team selection as a guide)!!!!

PS: Yeah - Sattler played at 5/8th Parra Panther you dimwit (if that is the position at which you constantly play from dummy half)!!!! Why don't you read you flip - I mentioned he played out of position - I just got the position right!!!!!
