What a precious little pissant you are! Screw you you pathetic grub. Go and ask Noel Kelly or Keith Holman what they consider the biggest honour to be wormboy. They never played for the Tigers and don't give a fig about some stupid Wests Tigers Team of the Century. They are to this day proud Magpies - as they proved yet again on Saturday Night when they were there (as always) for the function. Or Frank McMillan's daughter who was there, proud of her dad (how could she not be) and insistant that he too was a Magpie through and through (despite the season playing for Balmain). Or perhaps you'd like to tell Tommy he should be glad he's a Tiger  .

If Western Suburbs choose to honour their great players properly then who the hell of you to tell them they can't eh maggot? I don't think anyone thought to ask your or anyone else's permission - and theres a very good reason for that. We don't fricn need it.

If the Tigers are so pathetic that this is a spit in their face, then hang on for sec while I hack up a huge oogy.

I agree

I think its great that the magpies are honouring their greats and I wish Balmain would do the same.

The wests tigers team of the century was a marketing exercise and a successful one (I have the fully signed print on my wall so its not like I didn't support it) BUT essentially selection in the combined team is as meaningless as if they'd selected a combined 'souths and norths team of the century'

the players in question were NOT wests tigers - they were proud Balmain Tigers and Western Suburbs Magpies - even players who DID play for both like Jim Craig very much 'belonged' to one or the other team - Craig was a tiger despite his time with the pies.

It appears the magpies want to give honour to their greats as magpie legends not as 'wests tigers' (which they were not) and good on them for that - I wish Balmain would do the same, even if it were for the sole reason of giving appropriate honour to the Balmain Tigers team of the century players who did NOT make the combined squad - why should they be overlooked? each and every single one of them was a Balmain legend...same goes for the pies players that missed out.

It might be a long wait but I have a feeling Balmain will do something similar, possibly in 2008 when the club reaches it's century.

As i think every Foundation club will. Balmain, South Sydney, Easts, Western Suburbs, North Sydney and Newtown will be celebrating their milestone and anniversary. The NRL would be stupid not yse it as a marketing tool. Tradition and Heritage in its 100th Year. Recognising the Founder's of the great game of Rugby League in Australia.

We are talking about the NRL though.
