Saw movies

Great or terrible.

Have to say I loved the first one was excellent, but the 2nd one fell short of my expectations by having a B-grade cast and barely passable storyline.

Oppinions?

Do you really feel that way ? I've only seen the first one, but gee that was something that came close to rivalling The Usual Suspects imo. Im usually very good, outstanding actually, at finding the "real killer" in any movie ... but Saw was the first time i didnt actually pick it in one hell of a long time. That was the beauty of the movie i thought.

yeah, they both had their moments but I didn't find anything original about them. The first one was a rip off of se7en and battle royale and the second one was basically the exact same plot as cube. Both had poor acting and the killer is outright stupid.

I just went to the HAlloween Horror nights and they had one of the houses set up as a cross between Saw and Hostel.

Very gross but lots of fun.

The first one was great - like OVP I can usually pick the bad guy (I had another character that I had my money on, he was too "known" by me to be just a bit-part), but was totally wrong. The second one I felt really disappointed in, until the very ending, when it all came together. The twist at the end made me feel a little better about it, but overall I was still a titch disappointed.

i dont like this genre of movie at all, but i throughly enjoyed both movies

id even argue #2 was better

I liked them both, but I felt the first one was better. And the reason is simple - I liked the angle of the bad guy (you know, punishing troubled people wasting their lives because they don't appreciate the gift of life).

But the *SPOILERS* thing where the dude had to cut open his eye to get the key...Shivers

Saw 3 last night suprised that the film was only given a MA15 rating it should have been given a R rating...
