SCG - thoughts?

I don't blame the club for going to WSS. it is clearly the best, reasonably located stadium for us.

I like the idea of NSO too though and really consolidating CC as our area as well.

Maybe we should become true nomads for 2 years

3 SCG for our 3 biggest drawing games
3 WSS for our next 3 biggest draws
3 CC
2 NSO
1 Adelaide

If we host magic round then CC would lose a game.

This year I would have done the following to fit the above

SCG - south's, dragons, wests
WSS - Penrith, warriors, bulldogs
CC - cowboys, titans
Magic round - Canberra
Adelaide - Melbourne
NSO - Brisbane, knights

Bankwest/anywhere would without doubt offer more short term corporate sales than North Sydney. And I expect the club will probably take this view too.

But I think from a long term view we could gain a lot more by engaging the North Shore business community and fans who have been long-ignored by Rugby League.
In conjunction with our Bears NSW Cup partnership there could be benefits in sponsorships, members and juniors for decades to come.
Just got to show that we're serious, what better way than taking some games across the bridge?

Regardless of engaging the North Sydney business community, corporate types won't pay big bucks to sit in the equivalent of a tin shed on an old bench or bucket seat. It is why the Tigers started moving game away from Leichhardt Oval and Campbelltown, the poor corporate facilities they have. You could get away with 1 game for a "nostalga" trip, but anymore than that and its a financial loser. Our board don't believe in wasting money if it can be helped.

It's beginning to gain some steam.

I'm not sure we will see more than 1 or 2 games go to NSO but it is something at least.

Expect WSS to host a few of our games next year.

I do wonder if any of the fixtures will be changed this year or has the boat sailed on that?

Gotta say the SCG is a lot more enjoyable with more than 9000 people there. Doesn't change the views but obviously makes a difference to the overall experience
