And yes Runaway Bay were that bad!! In fact, they didn't field a full compliment of 17 in each game (15 in Colts, 16 in A Grade).

Colts Burleigh 28 def Wynnum 20

A Grade Burleigh 24 def Wynnum 22 (Half-time Burleigh 24 - 0)

Qld Cup Burleigh 16 drew with Wynnum 16 (Half-time Wynnum 16 - 0)

Wynnum looked great early on in the Qld Cup game but then continually failed to complete their sets. The Gulls defence held pretty well and Burleigh made plenty of mistakes of their own so the huge possession and territorial advantage they had didn't turn into the points it probably should have.

Sounds like the same story as in the trial against Easts.

At Wests, we also belted Centenary 58-0, with only a 12 minute first half and 24 minute second half, after a Wests forward dislocated his knee .....

That gave us 214 points to nil for the 3 games !

I hear Brothers Valleys drew at 18 with the Miners, too. 2 draws in the opening round - been a while since thats happened.
