Scott Briggs signs for Souths

I see in the Newcastle Herald that Scott Briggs is going to play for Souths PL side this week.
He is a wonderfully talented halfback who played PL for the Knights in 2004 before being dropped by the club.
He has also been dropped by Cronulla and Canberra after playing pre season games for both clubs in the last few years.
This year he has been playing for Macquarie United (along with Robbie O) in the Newcastle comp - and has been suspended at least once for disiplinary reasons.
If Souths can get him to show up for training, he could be anything.

He went very well at Canberra. I think he just got pushed out because we have so many good young halves.

He went really well on the field for Newcastle as well - but was dropped for his poor attitude.
I think he only lasted a few training sessions at Cronulla.

He could actually see some first grade at Souths with their current options at halfback, but man as others have said he has a chip on his shoulders.

Briggs has been re-signed by Souths for next season.

So he must be impressing them.
