BEAU SCOTT SIDELINED THROUGH INJURY

Friday, June 19, 2009
Dragons centre Beau Scott has been ruled out for the next 4 - 6 weeks with an elbow injury.
Scott who has been an integral part of the Dragons success this year, injured his elbow against the Cowboys in Round 14 and will now undergo an operation and should be set to return against the Warriors in Round 20.

Bound to happen, we have been soooo lucky with injuries this year which is why we have done so well will now.

I think putting Stanley there is a BIG RISK, as he has shown he has lots of weaknesses in defence.

I'd go with Costigan, or Nightingale.

That is no good. But comes at decent time, as we have bye, then he is suspended, then Roosters, Tigers. Could be back against Manly and if not then another bye and then the Warriors. I reckon 1-2 games max he will miss.

Lets hope he getes better very quickly and is back next to Jamie and Big Dell protecting the right hand side.

Gotta say its not that suprising....

Each week he had more layers of strapping and tape on that arm he was beginning to look like the Bionic Commando

Stanley goes alright... Penrith was his best game mainly due to him defending in the second row and attacking in the centres....

Which is an easy enough switch to make...

This is where he will sink or swim... i have a feeling that he will swim and swim really well and then we will lose him to another club! but thats the just the pessimist in me!

Thats not too unusual. I think we've had a reasonable run to date. There's not much you can do about imapact injuries like broken bones & joint problems. Its part and parcel of such a physical game.

What is refreshing is the massive lack of soft tissue injuries that had plagued us under t.he McGregor reign

Its only for rounds 16, 17 and 18 as we have a bye this week and round 19, he is due back round 20.

Also with him taking the "No Contest" charge he was going to be out for round 16 anyways.

The other bonus is that he needed a clean sheet in the next 4 rounds to have his remaining carryover points disappear , so when he comes back in round 20 he will have no carry over points, this is the bonus of taking the "No Contest" charge.

I think Wayne and Beau have worked out when was the best time to get this injury fixed and have used the 2 byes to their advantage.

Actually that's pretty logical.

Pure genius by Benny.

Hard to say who comes in. Nightingale's defence at centre has been worse than Stanley's IMO.

Would bring in Emmett or Stanley.
