Just saw he retired from RL today... Apparently he was on the outer and didn't wanna play reserve grade.

I'm gonna he panned for suggesting this...

But he would have been a great pick up for the Warriors for a couple of seasons.

IMO... He would have been perfect to play the organising role to give Shaun Johnson room and space to play his style of game.

Just give him a role similar to what he did for Benji at the Tigers and Matt Rogers at the Titans.

Good organising halves are soooo tough to come across... Just my opinion of course.

Could have been a possibility (not that he would have considered coming to NZ imo) if we had just not signed Friend up for another year. Too much money tied up in Friend and Leuluai to have one of them in reserve grade.

Yeah I can definitely see what your saying... But I reckon Thomas could actually play as a utility on the bench to cover the halves but to primarily play as a back up hooker or a ball playing lock forward. So he would take peyroux's spot.

He's certainly tough enough...

I think the pending signing of Tomkins would make it impossible.

I wouldn't laugh too much...

I reckon Prince and Johnson could carry you to a premiership.

They would complement each other perfectly.

The problem with prince was that he lacked the creativity in attack to trouble the top defences.

He's great at running a team... Just not as good when there's no one else to provide genuine options in attack.

Johnson is the opposite... His game management is an issue... Let someone else run the team around the park and Johnson can work his magic in his own time.

Couple that with his strong combination with friend and you certainly have a few positives...

Hell... One of his best mates Benji is moving to Auckland in a couple of weeks so a short term move to Auckland to chase one last premiership could have been tempting...

Good points and i'm sure some reporter will throw this out in the media to create a little story for their beloved paper, but I'm also loving T.L where he is now why change it?

Yeah, Foran and Johnson would go a long way to getting Warriors towards a premiership. Prince and Johnson would be too many missed tackles. Imagine if the club eventually becomes a consistent contender, surely then it would be far more attractive to the top kiwi talent like Foran and JWH etc, then we would have a dynasty!

Theoretical Scott Prince would be good, actual Scott Prince is 100 years old and has been crap for ages.

I'm not saying it's impossible that 34 year old Scott Prince could be effective in a very limited role, but I'd have major doubts.

Yeah the theory sounds okay... But the reality could end up like the Stacey Jones comeback...

I remember the last one off season Jason Taylor did for the Eels in 01.

He came in and did a job for the team... And really should have won a premiership...

Would rather explore how Townsend can go steering the ship for SJ to play off than bring in a guy who has been around 15 years and shows it. Have liked what I've seen out of Towsend and pretty confident in his abilities and he seems to love doing just that, being the structured guy who can steer the ship around.
