[font=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]London Broncos, soon to become Harlequins Rugby League, have made Australian hooker Chad Randall their first signing for 2006.

Randall, 24, has played the last four seasons with NRL club Manly Sea Eagles.

London coach Tony Rea, who has released eight players from this year's squad, said: "Chad's a very natural footballer who reads the game very well.

"I think he will form a solid combination with our halves and also work well with Neil Budworth."

Hooker Budworth recently agreed to a contract extension which will keep him at London until at least the end of the 2006 season.

He missed the entire 2005 campaign after undergoing a knee reconstruction.

The eight players departing the club are: Francis Stephenson, Steve Trindall, Anthony Armour, Dave Highton, Mark O'Halloran, John Kirkpatrick, Lee Sanderson and Feleti Mateo.

Watch out for his number 1 strike weapon:

The Blinside raid from dummy Half...Four times...In the same set of six!

Best of luck too Chad. He showed some of his obvious potential in 2003, but hasn't played very well at all for the last two seasons.

They're looking very skinny in the front row position.

Why was Anthony Armour released? I thought he was very promising.

Final squads for the next season tend not to be announced by clubs until just into the new year from memory? Is that right?

Sometimes they are announced as early as November.Clubs tend to want to make sure their recruitment is done otherwise first choice players will be running around with silly numbers all season,so usually January for most yep.
