Sea Eagles will fly solo in NSW Cup

THE Sea Eagles are set to play in the NSW Cup in their own colours next year.
Joint-venture talks with The Mounties have come to nothing.
They are going alone as far as we know, Mounties official Michael Pugsley said on Friday.
The NSW Cup draw is scheduled to be released next week, with Manly yet to completely confirm how they intend to play in the premiership.
The Sea Eagles also need to settle on a coach, with former player Luke Williamson still an option.
On Friday, The NSW Rugby League went to the extraordinary length of banning the Canberra Raiders juniors teams from all NSW competitions after they failed to register with the NSW Cup.
The Sea Eagles had been threatened with the same ban.

Manly were faced with the same decision and ultimately felt that our junior programs were worth supporting, NSWRL general manager Geoff Carr said.
