Shed can stay but be developed. It is unique and adds a different flavour to stadium, offers cheap tickets for those who cant afford $60-80 and adds a couple of thousand to capcity at low cost if extended. Extend it full width and put a modern cantilever roof to match the east stand roof and its perfect.

Not surprised with the Libs, was only going to use it as a political football (excuse the pun) if the deal wasnt done in October which it should have been. Fingers crossed now we dont get a shock election result.
If the deal had been done the libs winning would’ve meant they canned it

So no delay isn’t relevant

Already agreed to the 120 million in funding

Maybe not the rest

The opposition leader is making a political issue out of something she actually supports lol
October 30th:
Those talks have already hit a barrier. WA government and rugby league sources with direct knowledge of the negotiations, who requested anonymity to speak freely, said the NRL had asked for approximately $12 million in annual funding for the next decade.

The figure is the same as what was pledged by the Tasmanian government to the AFL’s newest club the Tasmanian Devils, which is expected to receive $144 million over 12 years and a further $60 million for a new high-performance complex.

Sources said the NRL’s request was rejected earlier this month and a task force, led by WA treasury officials, had now been established to negotiate with the NRL.

The WA government confirmed it had rejected the NRL’s initial funding request but would not discuss the figure proposed by the rugby league body. It is still offering to upgrade HBF Stadium and build a high-performance facility.
WA government insiders say it has no interest in pouring tens of millions of dollars of taxpayer money into what amounts to a “subsidy” for the NRL just months out from an election in a state where rugby league is viewed as a peripheral sport.

“The reason we have a strong budget is because we are disciplined with our spending decisions,” a senior WA government source said.

Yeh relying on journalists who are getting sources fifth hand is a great way to have no idea what’s going on

Bradford v Leeds

It was actually the same day as I went to the hull derby at midday

Terracing is an awful look for an nrl stadium. Literally 1800 vibes
Go and watch some footage from the Bayern Munich stadium and tell me how bad terracing is lol There's a lot of advantages to having a terraced section at HBF park as I've already listed.

From Nov after Cook was in Sydney. Seems the most legit report so far:

That funding would be worth $350 million to $500 million and would include a proposal to increase Perth’s rectangular HBF Stadium from a 22,500-seat venue to a 27,000-seat venue and upgrade the stadium’s facilities to ensure the new team could earn up to 70 per cent of its game-day revenue from corporate partnerships.

The cost of opening HBF stadium is estimated to be $150,000 each game, but the government has offered a period of rent-free use for the NRL.

Another significant development is the in-principle agreement to match, dollar-for-dollar, any funding from NRL Western Australia.

Other channels of funding from the government would include an injection of $25 million (joint funded by the City of Fremantle and the state government) into a temporary high-performance facility at Ken Allen Field in Fremantle while a long-term centre of excellence, which will double as a community asset, is built in Malaga.

The WA government has also pledged to introduce rugby league into the curriculum of up to 24 high schools in the Perth metropolitan area and says it will fund community development officers to ensure that the elite program is linked to the community grassroots programs.

no he hasn't lol. because 1) he doesnt exist and how convenient that he isnt running for a seat, 2) red bears scoops literally trump yours, every single time. dude says things weeks, now months in advance and they happen. 3) maybe this imaginary source will keep lurking on this forum and just copy what old mate says here albeit it delayed and after the fact and in different wording. lol 4) stop lying cob. how many times do you need to be proven wrong before ya quit this charade?
