Pretty much the same as Kiwi, but a couple of changes..

1 - B Barba
2 - Hoffman
3 - Reed
4 - Hodges - JYY/Vidot if he's not fit
5 - JYY(If ready) -Vidot/Oates
6 - Milford(If we get him) Strasser/M Barba, throw them both in for the first couple of trials, partner more impressive with Hunt.
7 - Hunt
8 - Hannant
9 - McCullough
10 - McGuire
11 - Thaiday
12 - Glenn
13 - Parker

14 - Granville/M Barba
15 - Gillett
16 - Kennedy
17 - Dodds

Only 1 prop on the bench seemed a bit light.

Marmin Barba, is flat out getting a game at Tweed Heads. Have you blokes actually seen him play? He is pretty ordinary, very small and can't tackle.

Who's Strasser? Just curious because i seriously thought you guys didn't have a 5/8 after the departure of Prince and Wallace

Strasser plays Intrust Cup for Redcliffe. has played a few first grade games. he too is small, hardly NRL standard at this stage.

We don't, at least no one established. Hence the player1/player2/player3/.... against the #6 in many of the team lists.

Strasser weighs similar to Wallace and is taller, so is hardly "small".

What do you mean by "first grade"? He hasn't played any NRL.

Yep, meant Intrust Cup not NRL. Interesting that one of the most promising players in Intrust Cup, Cameron Munster from the Capras is off to the Storm. Although he played mainly fullback is a specialist 5/8. another example of the Bronks paying no attention to their so called feeder clubs. His performances this year were certainly the equal of Marmin Barbara or Strasser.

I'm not sure how his recovery is, but what does everyone think about Yow Yeh filling in for Hodges until he comes back?

Yow Yeh would often line up in the centers when Hodges was out in the past, also with his reportedly bigger frame it would assist him greater in the centers rather than the wing. Also he would not have to contest for balls in the air as often.

I think Yow Yeh was scheduled to be Hodges long term replacement anyway, so it could give him the head start.

I only saw Strasser play a couple of times in the Queensland Cup. Looked solid - scheming type with a turn of pass and some toughness about him.

Oh well ... there's no better way to learn the ropes than being thrown into the deep end. If a miracle happens and Milford DOESN'T come to the club, he'll be the man.

Well we have a tonne of options in the back line and even 2d row now. I cant wait to see Hala and Kennedy step up this year and they are a must to be named in the rotation.

The coach needs to monitor form a lot this year and ensure the players who's form is peaking at the right time in be named and if your slumping. On the bench!! Last year was far too play it safe.

My hopeful side is:

1. Milford
2. Hoffman
3. Reed
4. Hodges, YY, Copley, Kahu, Vdot
5. Kahu, JDrew, YY, Copley, Oates
6. Barba/Strasser since Barba is now one of those 6-10 week offers..
7. Hunt
8. Hannant
9. Macca/Granville/Wallace -Oh wait ;)
10. McGuire
11. Thaiday
12. Glenn
13. Parker
14. Gillet
15. Granville
16. Hala
17. Kennedy
18. Dodds
19. Stagg
20. The other 2 recruits!

Interesting to note that the Broncos website inadvertently revealed a few more cuts to the roster. The All-Time roster section of the website, which is a list reserved for past players, revealed that Kurt Baptiste, Brendon Gibb, Nick Slyney & Aaron Whitchurch were no longer with the club.

They join Scott Anderson, Delroy Berryman, Luke Capewell, Denan Kemp, Dunamis Lui, Corey Norman, Scott Prince, Lama Tasi and Peter Wallace as losses to our 2013 squad.

A gallery on the website also revealed the identities of a group of players who started pre-season early. The group consisted of players like Jharal Yow Yeh, Jordan Kahu & David Hala and appeared to be designed to give these players a leg up ahead of official pre-season training, which kicks off on November 6th.

The full list of players shown in the gallery included:
Ajuma Adams - U/20s Second Row
Cameron Cullen - Redcliffe Half
Jordan Drew - U/20s Centre
Jake Granville - Wynnum Hooker
David Hala - Broncos Prop
Jordan Kahu - Broncos Centre
Francis Molo - U/20s Prop
Kodi Nikorima - U/20s Half
Jo Ofahengaue - U/20s Prop
Duncan Paia'Aua - U/20s Half
Zac Strasser - Redcliffe Half
Jharal Yow Yeh - Broncos Wing

Disappointed to see Baptiste, Gibb & Whitchurch leaving, think they all held promise. Glad to see the oft injured trio getting some fitness under their belt (Yow Yeh, Kahu, Hala)

Interesting that Kirk Baptiste is gone but Glanville stays. It was a tough decision by the club between these two clubs, but from memory, it came down to Baptiste being injured at a crucial time of the year and missing selection.

Does anyone know where he's going (Baptiste)?

Aaron Whitchurch showed definite promise a couple of years ago, but is cruelled by a back injury.

Yes IBM, Yow Yeh coming back will be one of the biggest feel-good stories in rugby league for quite some time. It will be awesome stuff to see him run out on the paddock again.

Could be some conjecture surrounding the validity of the All-Time list - according to a source on a different forum, Brendon Gibb submitted a post on his twitter expressing his excitement for the upcoming pre-season.

I wouldn't hold my breath for either Baptiste and Whitchurch. Been plenty of speculation about their where abouts next season, smart money says they won't be at Red Hill.

Which is a shame and Daz, you certainly highlight an interesting point. It seemed like since 2009 Baptiste was being groomed as our #2 hooker and some even believed he was better than Andrew McCullough. Will be interesting to see if he joins the list of hookers we regret letting go - at this stage it looks like:

Luke Priddis
Nathan Friend
Matt Ballin
Michael Ennis
