Season 2023

Lee should just shut up. No one important cares what he has to say. The chairman of the board should be heard from only if they're sacking or appointing the CEO. But being a lawyer he'd love nothing more than to hear the sound of his own voice. Except maybe his Ferrari.

He knows nothing about running a rugby league club, and like a lot of self important people, they think they know everything.

BTW. Please sack the CEO. Then sack yourself.

I’d love to see that blow up between Benji and Fulton, Two Pisces ox’s ..Neither able to keep a lid on their temper and both stubborn as fk..

Lee can prob chuck a new senior lawyer or even partner into the mix in his business without consequences. Combined with Pascoe’s thinking it’s a good idea to give sheens power then shit on him so he knows whose boss? ….yea they need to go

Huge divide’: Tigers blasted over recruitment blunder as Benji, Sheens’ ‘major rift’ with club bosses revealed

I wonder who will win this spat, if it’s real?
Did Benji blink? Hahaha, I just hope it was paper talk and nothing more, they are allowed to disagree.

It’s like when you’re a salesperson and you join a company with a reputation as someone that has sold to a lot of good companies, and now you can bring their business to your new employer.
Fulton was relying on shuster to lift his standing in the club. Benji put an end to that. Those two will get on. All Pisces get on with Pisces. They are the peaceful laid back sign. Like a sanctuary.
Now they’ve got that shit out of the way…

Tim and Benji have both been proven to be totally incompetent and completely out of their depth.

I’m glad Lee and the board have seen the error of their ways and are starting to white ant and undermine them.

Long overdue, better late than never.

Hopefully this is the beginning of the end for our impotent and idiot coaching staff, bereft of any ability other than to de-coach and steal their wages from us.

Let the chaos reign, anything is better than jagging 2 wins a season for the next 4 Years.

If we can’t change the junta board, then Im afraid we have no option but to shoot the next in line.

They took the cash and thought they could coach.

They couldn’t coach a dog to sh*t.

‘Don’t have the right’: Bulldogs tell booing fans to ‘hop off the bus’ after demoliton

Great way to win over the fans.

Fans pay his wages, I guess he forgot that in the cut and thrust of the emotion of the flogging.

Awkward, but he retracted it and gets a leave pass from me.

The weight of expectation.

Misery loves company, I was cheering on the knights to pass 74 points but the refs stopped the fight in the end and started disallowing legit tries and finding penalties for the dogs.

Bulldogs were at home, playing the team coming 4th last with a full strength team minus Kikau. We are in strife but they are even worse.

But it’s looking like, we are still odds on favourites to win the spoon:(

I'm looking on the bright side for '24....I might have done my top 8 money in glorious fashion this year but I'll get terrific preseason odds on the money I lose next year!

Yeah, it’s all we’ve got going for us, when you bet on this team.

Dylan's lawyers tried to change the title of the charge from "Sexual touching" to "Sexual feeling"
Their defence would have been based around getting the words of the Marvin Gaye song wrong doesn't deserve a 7 week penalty.
He’s a Parra player, should’ve been banned for life, just for the heck of it:)

I have not posted in a while as the last few weeks for our team have been pretty bad for a range of reasons.

Our backs: We have probably taken one step forward and two steps back with the backs this year. Bula is an absolute gem whom we need to lock up long term and look after. The fact that he is a fullback with (a) excellent fundamentals and (b) great defensive ability which has outshone some attacking abilities we know will eventually shine means we simply need to build around him. Our number one success story this year without a doubt.
The rest of the backs have been a combination of shit and the season being 10 rounds too long for them. Guys like Daine Laurie, Talau, Kepaoa and Naden (sadly) have turned out to be fails who should not be first grade options at our club past this year. Guys like Starford and Junior have shown good signs at times this season.....but have been poor over the last few weeks. I think Junior needs a stint in NSW Cup while Starford need to take down the the newspaper clipping of him dominating Val Holmes as he has not played well since. I'd definitely persevere with both next year though.

Halves: The most depressing aspect of our season. None of the present contracted halves at our club are upto it. The best a half has looked at our club this year is the early games form of Wakeham who is the only genuine halfback in our team. The two problems with Wakeham is (a) he is slow for an NRL halfback and (2) just not really built to be a long term season halfback. He is good for a short time but not for a grinding NRL season and has been found out bigtime as the season has gone on. We clearly need new blood in these positions

Forwards: In many ways, the innocent victims of our season. For the first half of the year, they actually did their jobs. Problems is....our halves just could not take the pressure off them with some good play. Our halves were not good enough with bringing them into our attack....our forwards in essence are purely battering rams. Men like Bateman and Papalli have been used way better by the halves in their past clubs. The fact our halves f**k up lead to them doing more defensive work. I think Klemmer, while still very decent and a lot better than James Tamau was....is on the gradual downhill slope. I still have concerns about Stefano.....he is still not quite kicking the way I'd like him to be going. He is still very young though in prop terms and worth keeping. Paps and Bateman are still elite fibre players......but my f**k we are not getting the best out of them.....and it is not their fault as I've alluded to earlier with the halves. It is criminal that we have players of this calibre yet not having the tools around them to reach their potential here. Im pretty content with how the Pole is developing. Unlike our halves and backs, Im giving the forwards a pass mark this year.

In my opinion, we have one winnable game left....next weekend. The rest of the year is going to be bleak. Lets hope we get some spine improvements as well as another centre over the next few months.

Warning, don’t read this, if you are feeling good today:( Except to know, the end is near thank f**k.

Our run home:

Wests Tigers

Current position: place, points, ( wins),
Byes remaining: 0
Run home
Round 21: vs St George Illawarra Dragons (away)
Round 22: vs South Sydney Rabbitohs (home)
Round 23: vs Canberra Raiders (away)
Round 24: vs New Zealand Warriors (home - Hamilton)
Round 25: vs The Dolphins (home)
Round 26: vs Sydney Roosters (away)
Round 27: vs Manly Sea Eagles (away)

The Tigers have a difficult run home, but a couple of winnable games. They will be desperate to beat the Dragons on Thursday, but could also consider themselves a chance against the Dolphins and Sea Eagles.

We have given the joint venture the game over the Dolphins, but that's still not enough to get the wooden spoon out of their grasp.

A win over the Dragons this week would change all of that though.

Likely finish: 17th

Just thinking about when we were upset that it seemed we were always coming 9th.

Ahh, those were the good old days, weren’t they.

Hoping we get back to 9th or better soon hahaha
