Whoever made the decision to cut the goal kicking coach probably also made the decision to cut the Yoga.

Yoga would be good for the mind as well as the body.

It’s sadly part of being a poor club...lucky we won the comp because with our struggle for $, this shit will never end.

Get ready for a very, very lean couple of years away from shark park!

Gunna be easy for the NRL & 9 to prove we don’t pull a crowd and can be cut/moved from Cronulla.

Hard on Happy Hour for the lot of them. Thanks for 2016 though - I can live with 46-years of support for one Premiership.

If we’re already marked for death, please don’t drag the pain out for too long.

We perform better away from home. We'll probably win the next two comps.
Not this year, I think we have only beaten the Titans in Brisbane, Cowboys and the Dragons in Wollongong. Not a real good effort that.

Shure we don’t keep back money for things like yoga or goal kicking coach? Guided meditation would be good for the long term health of the team. Are we that short sighted ? Something should be done.

Do you believe it has contributed at all?

To me it seems like lots of things have changed with the training this year.
The team is weaker, slower and less explosive.

Strength and conditioning guys need replacing

Yoga IMO is not part of a training regime. its something the players could do , in their own time.
I'm not sold on the entire yoga benefit stuff. Sure , it appears some vegans, who dont work, sleep all day, stay out of the sun, refrain from drugs & alcohol appear healthy, but throw them into a contact sport & lets see how they look after ten minutes.
Yoga itself is dangerous , in regars to muscle tears & injuries. A lot of poses, are just wrong.

I dare say everyone's a year older, it makes a difference in our contact sport. Yeah its been said before, but its a fact of life.

Why ask him, he’s a head in the sand kind of guy!

Ask yourself because from what I’ve read over the last few years, you’d certainly know & he’d have an exaggerated hysterical opinion.

So...what do you reckon about (not doing) the yoga?

For the record, I don’t think it’s the cause of the leg injuries like Coif is accusing me of but I sure reckon it’s played a part.

Freddy used yoga the last two years with NSW and they won.
Did anyone come out of those series with injuries?

Just further to this, yoga will not improve your key markers there. You will still be weak, slow & less explosie unless you train specifically to change.
Are they any of those things? I'm not so sure they are that off the pace.
& in regards to injuries, if yo utake Moylan & Johnson out, we are actually getting guys back on the park pretty quick.

Fair points.
I have a pretty good understanding about anatomy and biomechanics.
It’s not the return time I’m concerned about, it’s the number of “smaller” non contact low grade injuries. It’s something we haven’t had to deal previously.

So the question that needs to be asked is “what changes to the strength and conditioning program have occurred”

If we take Moylan and Johnson out of the equation, then you are right. We haven’t had heaps of time out.

To my eyes, we seem heavy footed and slow. Weak in contact and less explosive
