Just on Simmons I think he'll go good with Vagana inside him. Vagana will show him where to stand in defence and the amount of defenders he sucks in could open some room for Simmons.

And I want to see Dumas put one of his famous hits on  I really like Dumas he for some reason. He didn't do anything fantastic last year but the thing he and Newton showed last year is they love doing the work. Go Dumas!

Well I hope having Bailey at lock keeps him in the middle of the park rather than hiding out in the backline.

I doubt Bosnich will interchange for Sully, he'll play 2nd row, but he's backup should Sully (or Kimmorley) get injured.

What side is Vagana normally on? Simmons was on McGoldrick's side last week I think...

Simmons was on Mcgoldricks side, but Mcgoldrick was on vagana's side ...if that makes sense.

i love the bench that way, 4 big boys, sully can even play 80 if going well and use bos oin rotation in the backrow, nice.

i am surprised that simmo is ahead of saleh, but have no problem with the call, it instills confidence in me that raper obviously has shown the kid confidence too, i like the selection.

Williams is definately ONLY a bench player who should get say 10 minutes in each half.

Don't get me wrong he is a powerful unit and can get a great ball away in traffic. BUT I've seen him panting like a dog after being out on the field for more than 10 minutes in a Premier League game.

Could be used as a shock weapon by Raper when he needs to give the team a bit of needle!

Well, that side can win the game so that's all that matters. I am looking forward to Vagana, Noddy, Peach and Reick scoring tries.

Needs more Newton. I can't wait for Sully to play a full game at hooker (hopefully)

Bosnich can stay on the bench. He is a worker but really he did nothing on the bench last year and but I think he'll be a better bench player for the club now.

can he play a full game?

I like the look of that team by the way. So long as Reick actually plays and doesn't pull out at the last second.

Very pleased to see Sully at Hooker. It's been a long time coming and I think this will prove to be a very smart move by Stuey.

Also glad to see Bailey at his preferred position of Lock.

Cannot wait to see Jason Williams.

I really like the team line up and its given me some confidence for the game this weekend.
I like the fact Sully is starting, happy with the move of Hilder to 5/8th - hopefully he plays well and good to see Galloway starting too.
Hopefully Williams will provide some impact off the bench for us too.

Just thinking about the team. I really do think there are some positives beneath the surface. And these come from a most unlikely position too - prop. From what I've seen - as well as our top 3 we also have blokes like Newton, Vagg, Williams, Green and Wessell in the wings. And most, if not all, are young. IMO this is possibly as good as we've ever looked for props. Plenty of quality depth IMO. And watching blokes like Aitken, Reece Williams and Ciraldo coming through I believe the future looks a lot brighter.

I agree with you Popper but I'm staring to wonder whether our top 3 props are the ones you are alluding to. I think Newton for one may has leaped in front of Beattie at the least. And what about Roy Friend - I haven't seen him play yet but he got some good wraps from the ABC team last year.

Theres nothing wrong with beats he's still going well & staying injury free.
He will wind into the season & hopefully get more mobile & fitter each week.
Remember, when we need an opposition player damaged(legit), who ya gonna call?! Beats is the man & the opposition know it too. They're always looking where he is.

I don't think he is having the impact that he has in past. I'm certainly not calling for him to go, although I do believe he is best used as a bench player to launch into tiring defences.

I do think its time for some young blood in the prop dept. Stevo, Beats and Nutley ain't spring chickens and a younger players enthusiasm may also rub off on them.
