New Zealand Test centre Steve Matai is a late inclusion in the Manly side to play Parramatta at Brookvale Oval tonight.

Matai passed a fitness test this afternoon after being sidelined with an ankle injury sustained in the Sea Eagles' opening round match against Canberra.

Hooker Matt Ballin makes way for Matai's inclusion in the Sea Eagles' 17.

i told you so. ballin wont get a run in either grade tonight & he is not injured.Dikefalos always delivers.Des must think he's running chelsea football club & can rest players on a rotation basis.

mate i wish i knew the answer to that one but your guess is as good as mine. i am just as gutted as you that ballin has been left out as i think he is an outstanding prospect & really turned the game around when he came on against the raiders. but the coach always gets what he wants. thats why monas wont be at manly next year & i am just as gutted about that because i rate the guy big time.

I guess Groom is playing hooker in PL so there's no room for Ballin. That or Des has officially lost the plot, what is the obsession with Lyon playing 5/8 anyway when we've already got two good 5/8s. Arrrggghh!!!
