They had one good year.
You missed the whole point.....the team Alfie was talking about haven't been in the comp since 1998. This team today is St George Illawarra, a jv of St George Dragons and Illawarra Steelers.

Shiiiiit that was a good game. Thank god you don't need your jaw to kick field goals, because Locky's looks wrecked. I think he'll still play, but I don't see him taking the line on any time against Manly.

3. McGuire
2. Lockyer
1. Parker

I'm quitely confident the Dragons will beat the Broncos.
Last time we played round 15 2011, the Broncos won the game with a forward pass and knock-on.....remember?
Last time we played, we had B.Morris, M.Cooper, B.Scott D.Young, B. Creagh B. Hornby all out....remember?
This time it won't be the same.....you won't forget this game.

To all the rednecks and redheads please don't piss on the seats after the Dragons destory your dreams.
I wonder if this "quietly" (so quiet he posted the exact same message in about 4 different threads) confident dimwit will pop his head in and quietly congratulate the Broncos on their victory?

Well done Bronco's congratulations to all the team and supporters, we tried hard but were not good enough on the night. I can not believe I am saying it, but Go Bronco's, I hope you win the big one!

We should have won by 20 if not for a stuttering attack and grubby tactics from the Dragons.

Need to see the replay, but would agree with the POTS posted so far from my impression at the game.

f**k, what an EPIC game, and what a fairytale finish for Lockyer in front of his adoring fans.

Now let's send him out with a premiership!

Unbelieveable game !

Great occasion to attend. What a roar when Locky lead the team out, and then the scene's during that victory lap were unreal.

How good did the Master play tonight though. Taking it to the line so well, and that field goal.... well not the best you've ever seen but was always going to get it ! Salute the Champion.

Agree with hellteam with the votes:

3. Lockyer
2. McGuire
1. Beale

What an incredible game. I thought the Broncos were the better team for the large majority of the game but failed to get over the line due to some amazing defence from the Dragons. I knew when Parker missed the goal the Dragons would take it to extra time. Were just lucky to have the most experienced player of all time on OUR side!!!

G'day all. Been away on a three week holiday to the UK with the family. Spent two weeks in Scotland and now in England until I return. The internet has been my only link to the nrl apart from the iphone which has been giviing me little information thru its service areas but enough to know that the Broncos are still alive in 2011. Tonight I've read your comments and it gives a good insight to the games I've missed so I appreciate your comments. Thanks. I look forward to returning home and which will be after the manly game and join in grand final week with you all.

I'm guessing next week when Thaiday returns, Hala will drop off and Te'o will move back to the bench.

The line-up is looking outstanding at the moment, and this is coming from a full-blooded Roosters supporter:

Beale
Copley
Reed
Hodges
Yow Yeh
Lockyer
Wallace
Hannant
McCullough
McGuire
Glenn
Thaiday
Parker

Hunt
Gillett
Te'o
Anderson

Just out of curiosity regarding selections, I find it interesting that Anderson is up on the pecking order ahead of fellow props Carlaw, Hala, Lui, Dodds, Tronc and Kenny. Has he really been THAT good as to get into the team ahead of all of them?

Also, interesting that Hunt and Copley were selected ahead of the more flashy Corey Norman and Dane Gagai respectively. Any reason behind those?

Yeh he has been solid this year and has a fairly good work rate. He was doing a bit better when he was starting, but since McGuire has stepped up the bench is the only spot for him. Glad to see he didnt drop any balls last night, as he is usually good for one error every game.

Definite above those other guys. Hala doesnt have the minutes in yet. Lui too inexperiened. Dodds, im not really convinced about, good tackeler but not as good a ball runner/meter maker. Tronc is injuried and now retired. Kenny is a bit soft really.

Both those other guys just arent up to the riggers on NRL yet IMO. Gagai may have more speed, but can be a speed bump in defence.
