Senior Football in Balmaain

Could anybody advise what Senior Clubs there are in Balmain - that is 'over 21s'?
The reason I am asking is I cannot find any Senior Teams playing out of Balmain or St George for that matter. Does this mean there is no Senior Football played in either district? If that is the case what do Senior Footballers do to find a game?

For about 20 years the small number of teams in the Balmain comp for 13's up have meant that they have played in a combined comp with St George. Now there are only about 3 St George clubs left in A Grade so they play in the Cronulla comp and North Ryde are the only Balmain club left and they play in the second division of the Manly comp.

Thanks - I have just been doing some research and the numbers of senior Rugby League Teams outside of Penrith is pretty poor throughout Sydney.

In fact in most districts after under 16s its pretty barren. What on earth is going on? South Sydney had three under 19 Teams FFS.

The proposed Commission will have to look at this.

I will give Manly their due as they have three divisions but I assume some of these are from Bears territory.

These are the figures for senior football teams by code I got off sporting pulse:

Rugby League - over 300
Rugby Union - over 300
AFL Managed to find 30 but may have double counted.
Football - manged to find so many I stopped counting.

League isn't doing that badly.

Numbers includes Under 19s (or colts) and above.

Try the tertiary league, there are 3 clubs in the inner west with 2 or 3 divisions for the three clubs.

I know Renown United were running A Grade + A Reserve a few years ago, might be a good idea to give them a try.
