Well this weekend will most likely be the final time Darren Senter runs out onto Leichhardt Oval a place he has called home since 1994 when he joined Balmain from Canterbury.
Over the years not too many players that have come from other clubs have earnt the respect and admiration of fans like Darren Senter and its a tribute to the man and character that he is.
I guess if i was to sum up Darren Senter i would say that he was a gutsy, uncomprimising footballer who ALWAYS gave 100% for his club and more importantly his teamates. He'll never be remembered as one of the greats of the game but in my eyes he will always be one of those players who perfectly typifies the Tiger spirit.

So congratulations Darren on what has been a great career at Balmain and the Wests Tigers and heres hopin we can send him out with some finals football and even sooner a big home crowd at Leichhardt Oval this sunday.

they were talking about a coaching role.So obviously the club doesnt see him being around as a player next season.I too think its appauling there has been no mention of this.

Not with us he is'nt,unless he sign's on a incentive basis only.

He isint on much this season.

Under 100K ive heard.
no, he'd be on 200k, buy only counting for 100k of the cap, duty to 10 years of service to one club

I e- mailed noyce and they are "in discussion" with Darren on the matter.

about playing or having a sendoff?

So in other words....stuff the old Balmain and WestsTigers fans, keep em in the dark, those that would like this opportunity to give him a fitting send off at possibly his last game at Leichhardt.

I’d actually like to see him have one more year. He can still compete at the top level, and is still a handy back-up in the back row.

He isn't on $200k!!!!!

2 things with Senter he has been offered a role as a trainer within the club and looks like taking it however he could play next year only on match payments something which Senter apperantly dosn't really want to do

They did the same with Cokey last year. Gave him a run off the bench in the same game too, at Leichhardt. Then the next week we found out he was going to Salford for the remainder of the year. No thanks Joel, no acknowledgement... NOTHING. I know Hollywood is held in higher esteem (and so he should be!) than 'Cokey' Caine, but it wouldn't surprise me if it happened this way.

Even though we are now one club, it would be good if his farewell was held at his "spiritual home".

I agree - Dazza deserves a proper sendoff at leichhardt, seeing as the club doesn't want to give him one I guess its up to us to turn up and make sure he gets the farewell he deserves

I'll be there for sure

Darren's decision was made before he made the announcement. It would have been upto him to decide to announce it. He told me he is looking at a job in the front office for next year. He isn't on much this year.
