Remember Hybrid, the season isnt even over. remember Aston Villa on top of the EPL at x-mas a couple of season ago and now look at them. Rember Roma was lucky against Ancona.
Correct me if I am wrong, but i believe roma is a truckload of debt (I believe is in 400m in debt) and if Roma isnt careful, they could end up like Leeds.
If Mark Viduka is on his way to to Inter, he will probably be leaving Inter (Vieri)
Yes of course. I realise that the season isnt over. But our form this year has been nothing short of spectacular.
Last season we couldnt do a thing right. Whether it was referees, poor form or just not enough depth i'll never know. But such a drastic turnaround in a short space of time has even taken me by surprise.
An astute signing in Cristian Chivu, the purchase of Mancini from Venezia (turning him from a bench player in Serie B to a starter at one of the best clubs in the Serie A over the off season), the loaning of Carew and the improvement in players such as Pelizzoli, Zebina and Cassano has been a revelation. In all seriousness, at the start of this season i expected us to probably finish fourth. But now, i'm pretty confident that we can win the Scudetto and possibly even the UEFA Cup (depending how serious we take it).
And yes we were poor against Ancona. But we still won didnt we? A sign of a good team is that they can play poorly and still win. You cant play breathtaking every week...
And seriously - you cannot compare Roma to Aston Villa. Villa dont have one of the best players in the world in Totti. And they certainly werent consistently one of the top teams in the Premier League. Roma are a top team, and have pretty much been up there most of the time, bar one or two poor seasons, even winning the title in 2000/01.
And yes we are in debt. But it isnt 400 Million. I believe it is around 160 Million. And the club is being sold after this season, with the buyer clearing all debts. So I am not at all worried about this.
