I have always been reluctant to get stuck into the channel 9 commentators as much as the folk on here, but after watching another performance by Mario Fenech on the Sunday Footy Show, i am going to have to agree with the general consensus. He offers NOTHING. Like, he can say 'how good is x player or x team'...........wait, i think thats it? He offers nothing, therefore i cant get stuck into him, because there is nothing to get stuck into, he is useless. Its embarrasing to have him representing rugby league and you can FEEL Sterlo and Gus's thoughts on the man whenever he opens his mouth. Just get rid of him channel 9, please.

Mario and Chief are embarrassing for our game. If that's the best we can do with regards to 'experts' then we're struggling big time. State the bleedin' obvious every week why don't you boys!

I cringe everytime he says something.. He must have said at the start of the game 'how good is the competition going' like three times, and then during the saturday wrap he says 'watch this for a try' (as if it's something real spectacular) and the player just catches the ball and strolls over.

It's like he's talking to himself most of time..everyone else seems to ignore him..rightfully so I suppose.

Cmon guys....the panel dont give him a thing.....the other guys discuss topics amongst themsleves,but everytime Mario goes to join in they just shutup.

Its a boys club for sure,and Mario sure isnt in it.

Just for the record,I have met him a few times and he was a very nice person,really friendly and quite knowledgable about the footy.

I feel for him cos he doesnt get close to a fair go off the other panelists and comes off looking really stupid.

Mario was good entertainment last year on the footy show. But i don't think he should be actually on the panel. I don't know why Nine went against what they were doing with Mario last year where they didn't want him to be on the panel for the footy show

Quite funny a few weeks back when Channel 9 did the Cowboys-Knights game, The Chief was quite all game but when the Knights hit the front towards the backend of the game, They crossed down to the Chief and he was like "Oh how good is this!" etc etc.

I like Mario for good entertainment value..

At East Gardens shopping centre when I was younger about 9 yrs old with my grandmother and mum.. we were on the esculator and so was Mario.. One of Marios kids probably 5yrs old asked my grandma why she was so old (weird kid questions). So Mario spent a few mins chatting to her and asking her "how old are you ?" "well you look fantastic" etc. Its true he is a good guy.
