Have to disagree.

Ballin does a great job as an 80 minute hooker. Fair enough Seu Seu played quite well on Sunday but in previous efforts I'd hardy say he set the world on fire.

I think our bench is better served with a bigger utility player like Bailey (seeing we can't get rid of him) or Buhrer. Can't see the sense in having a player on the bench for a 15 minute run each game if he even gets a run. Buhrer can play hooker if Ballin was ever injured.

Seu Seu's defence has been suspect in the past too. Not sure if that has come good during his stint at the SUnshine Coast.

My bench next year would look something like:

14. Rose
15. Buhrer
16. Tony Williams
17. Bailey/Lussiak

I'm on the fence with this one, had you asked me a week ago it'd be quick and without hesitation "NO!". But he impressed me on Sunday - especially after I spent the first half telling my mates how average he was. Thanks Terrence.

As NB said, Ballin plays 80. There's no point wasting a bench spot for an 'impact' player who really doesn't make enough 'impact' to warrant his selection. His defence isn't consistent either - this can be improved though.

Useful squad player and he wouldn't be on much I'm guessing.

My 2011 bench (at this stage)

14. Rose
15. Bailey
16. Cross *
17. T.Williams

* Assuming Joe is gone.

I never agreed with dessies decision to have a specialist hooker on the bench. A versatile back like Farrar would have been perfect for the bench, who can fill in the whole backline and even at hooker if needed.

Terrence has excellent genes to keep getting better as he gets older.
His father played firstgrade League for Kurri Kurri well into his late 30s, and he actually played a few games alongside Terrence a few years ago.
Marty is a tough and fit old bastard who still plays firstgrade Rugby Union in the Newcastle comp at over 40 I think. To be honest, he looks fitter than Terrence even now.
